Minus the amber, the vanilla and the price it sounds wonderful!

Thank you both for the info. I like the fragrance but I don't think I would use up a 100ml bottle. I smell a split!

Sounds good to me. I try to get a sample. Thanks for the info. Have a Happy New Year!

I think I will buy, tried sample and I did like it. I don't think longevity is that great! Very unique

Awe, that sucks. It lasts all day on me, and through the night when I wore it to bed. But a lot of scents stick around a LONG time on my skin for some reason.

I like it too. Not FB for me, as I'm not the hugest fan of the "piney" aspect in the top, but the drydown is a rather nice and boozy one.

Does anyone know the release date for this one yet?

I believe in Paris it is already released at Jovoy. I don't know of any announcement of the US release date as yet...

You're right, it's already available at Jovoy. I'm waiting for the American release date, I know it will be sometime in January.

I love the smell of currants and pine, so of course I look forward to sampling this one.

Would anyone who's smelled this compare the currant note to the one Guerlain has in Aqua Allegoria Grosellina (which I love!)?

Thread Starter
Since I started this thread, and after recent travels (just had a chance to try my sample today) I must say I thought it was quite nice stuff. I'll need to try it again, but just wanted to mention that after a 2 hour sweaty xc-ski trip in 15* weather, under thick old funky gloves, it still smells quite nice. So at least it scores well on the survivability scale.

Perhaps a little sweet and fruity for some males, and perhaps a bit too rich for my pocketbook, but it has some real punch and longevity to it, and I look forward to trying it again.

Mike, I smelled A. A. Grosellina last year at Saks; I don't find them similar. Red currant vs. black currant.

I'm afraid I can't say I'm "enchanted". The fragrance opens with a sort of Kir Royale/winey vibe and boatloads of black currant giving birth to an original accord that while smelling interesting it's far from what I usually like to apply on my skin . Green-ish elements provide nice but not completely successful sweet-and-sour, fruity-fresh facets enhancing, somehow, the sparkling-winey notes. The fragrance then quickly evolves into a woody-resiny oriental which feels a bit formulaic and, in the end, not much intriguing.

I'm a big fan of Duchaufour but I'm afraid I can't compare Enchanted Forest to the huge amont of masterpieces he delivered so far (Mohur, Trayee, Jubilation XXV, several Comme Des Garcons, several L'Artisans...to name only a few). Not bad but far from beng a winner in my book. Sorry.

Agree completely. It was certainly a disenchanted forest for me as well...
