Hi everyone,

I am looking to buy couple of fragrance from the following. I haven't try anything from following except Aqua homme by Bvlgari and i really love it. Please suggest me which one should I buy and should I not. And which ones are similar fragrance.

- Artisan by John Vervatos
- Monsieur Balmain
- Aqua homme by Bvlgari
- Horizon by Guy Laroche
- Miracle L'aquatonic by Lancome
- Hanae Mori H.M
- Xy by Hugo Boss
- La nuit de l'homme by YSL
- Love & Luck by Ed hardy
- L'instant Guerlain
- Roadstar by Cartier
- Lanvin L'homme sport
- Polo blue sport
- Pure Havane

Thanks

None of those are really favorites of mine, but Monsieur Balmain is at least "good" so I'll go with that one. That said, Cacharel pour L'Homme does it a lot better, IMO.

That is a really varied list. I don't see too many similarities in there, but from the ones I do know, I would recommend the following:

L'Instant de Guerlain EDT - a beautiful autumn/winter fragrance which starts off with a citrusy anise blast and then warms up to a spicy woody. Lovely.

As for Bvlgari Acqva, I prefer Kenzo Homme as an authentic sea scent. However, the Kenzo is a very divisive scent and while I personally love it, the Bvlgari is probably more palatable. Cartier Roadster is a nice fresh minty woody, perfect for Spring. Finally, I have heard wonderful things about Monsieur Balmain and as a lemon aficionado I would love to smell it, however I can't find it anywhere to test and I'm not prepared to blind buy.

Good luck in finding what you want good sir.

I would have to go with Pure Havane. I just got Hanae Mori HM. Gave it away!

...l'Instant de Guerlain...!

La Nuit or Aqua

From that list, I would choose L'Instant or HM. But I would recommend you get the Bulgari Aqua for two reasons.

1. You already know you love it. You should own what you love, not own stuff that some random basenoters love.

2. I was at a duty free shop a few days ago checking some things, and this random young woman, fairly attractive, walks into the shop with a boyfriend, makes a beeline for the Aqua, picks up the bottle which she waves momentarily at him before turning to me and saying, "this is the best, I've dated guys just because they smelled like this. Sex in a bottle." Then she sniffs the nozzle (of the bottle) and makes a dreamy face. I smiled, nodded, and went back to sniffing the strip with Azzaro pour Homme Elixir.

Do you need a third reason?

From your list, I really like L'Instant de Guerlain and A*Men Pure Havane. L'Instant is classy, masculine scent. Pure Havane has a youthful cherry vibe to it that is so addictive. Both have very good longevity and projection on my skin.

Pure Havane for sure. Don't follow the LIDGE hype, lol.

Def pure havane, and he doesn't have LIDGE on his list, if he did i would say def LIDGE

Try everything before you buy.

Of your list, I would suggest Roadster, L'Instant or Pure Havane.

But it entirely depends on your tastes.

Any of the ones below are worth it IMO:

Monsieur Balmain
Horizon by Guy Laroche
Miracle L'aquatonic by Lancome
Hanae Mori H.M
La nuit de l'homme by YSL
L'instant Guerlain
Roadstar by Cartier
Lanvin L'homme sport
Pure Havane

Quite varied list. If you are looking for an aquatic/fresh, my favorite in your list is Horizon, where the marine note is well integrated in the whole. Though I am personally not a fan of marine in general.

For warmer, more substantial scents, I also second L'instant or Pure Havane.

From the list

- Artisan by John Vervatos - Haven't smelled
- Monsieur Balmain - Haven't smelled
- Aqua homme by Bvlgari - Nice but generic
- Horizon by Guy Laroche - Haven't smelled
- Miracle L'aquatonic by Lancome - Haven't smelled
- Hanae Mori H.M - The combination of notes in this one smells wrong to me
- XY by Hugo Boss - I think you will like this, minty/peppery, however looking at your wardrobe, I think it would be a redundant addition
- La nuit de l'homme by YSL - Nice for going out
- Love & Luck by Ed hardy - Generic citrus smell
- L'instant Guerlain - Haven't smelled
- Roadstar by Cartier - Nice and classy but turns horribly salty on my skin so this one has to be test on your skin first
- Lanvin L'homme sport - Haven't smelled
- Polo blue sport - Haven't smelled
- Pure Havane - Best in the A*men flankers line-up

From the list, I'd suggest Pure Havane as well. To be fair...I haven't tried most of the others, however.
L'instant and Pure Havane are the only ones worth purchasing.

From your list: L'instant, Pure Havane, La Nuit, Roadster and Bvlgari Aqua are the best picks IMO.

I believe you would be well served with L'Instant from Guerlain, and for a fresh citrus, Monsieur Balmain will do nicely.

Roadster and Pure Havane with La Nuit running a distant third.
