A New Years resolution and pledge for all Basenoters

Thread Starter
I will not post or reply on any new Aventus threads and I will never start a new Aventus thread. I like the scent and own it but it is time to let this severely beaten horse be.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! May it be full of amazing aromas.

I will not (and never have) read replies to threads or reviews that are best selling novels in length. Keep it straight and to the point folks!

Yes. A Very Happy, Healthy, and Fragrant New Year to my BaseNotes Family. I wish you all the very best for 2013.

I will promise not to be so sarcastic, as long as the rest of the forum reins in its pretentiousness and people stop posing ridiculous questions.

I give it 'til 9am tomorrow, I reckon.

I will promise to find someone to take on my collection when I stop.

*Sigh* Another Aventus thread...

Great replies so far, guys. I hope everyone here has a superb 2013.. and of course smelling good for the entire 365 days.
And my resolution is to be more patient with all the threads/replies mentioning, in particular, Aventus, GIT, and Burberry London.
I just have to accept that these folks are as enthusiastic about those frags as I am about my VC&A PH.

I promise to not come off as a dick as often as I do. I really don't mean to but when I read my reply later in the day, that's exactly what I did.

I promise to stay enthusiastic about fragrance and Basenotes and the Basenoters, and not turn into the kind of boring stick in the mud who goes around saying stuff like "Oh yeah, I used to be excited about that, but I'm over it." Nope, no way. There is no getting over it in 2013.

Cheers to Basenoters everywhere! Best wishes for a fantastic new year.

A very happy New Year to all! May all our scents be signatures, and available in the format we really really need.

I would like to thank the great members here (except for mlsweeney who is a complete dick) for allowing me to learn from your vast fragrance knowledge. Living where I do I have very limited access to try new fragrances so y'all (yes, I said y'all) are more important to many of us than you know. The discussions here are what spark 99.9% of my sample purchases.

Happy 2013!

I will try and buy a bit less bottles... nah! Who am I kidding?
Happy 2013 ev'ryone!

Base notes needs to start a niche only section and a designer only section to post in

Let's be more POSITIVE in 2013!
I'll keep sniffing, learning and enjoying and maybe, just maybe, eventually find something my missus will not complain about. A very good year to all.
I promise to get back into fragrances altogether! It's been almost 6 months off, and my interest had dipped the lowest it had for awhile. The past few weeks, I can feel the burn rekindling!

Happy New Year! No scent resolutions for me so far, simply for the fact that for 2013, I'll try to keep it flexible. Going with the flow, the scent preferences and with fragrance-related experimentations will actually be among the few/the only fragrance plans I'd follow.

No more "Well, it's cheap so I guess I want it even though I never liked it before" buying.

An excellent resolution, I'll make it mine too

Happy New Year all fellow basenoters!

And this one too

I really aim to plow through my more expensive fragrances on a more consistent basis. My wardrobe has grown at an astonishing rate and I need to cash in on my return despite being a gentleman of leisure.

I'm going to try not to buy anything that I don't think I would consider among the top 50 in my wardrobe. Happy New Year, guys!
