My first fragrance of the year is Cuir Ottoman- well, no, to be technical it has been Myrrhiad

Morning all, & a very Happy 2013 to everyone! For my 3000th post, l am hereby making my one & only New Year resolution; to finally start contributing to this thread. About time, eh?

lt's a beautiful sunny day here, & l'm off to work in a bit, wearing the original Ghost.

My bf & l saw the New Year in at our local pub, & l managed to get just merry enough without getting too drunk, so l'm feeling okay today. We also celebrated three years together yesterday!

Have a great day, everyone!

Hello, everyone! Spent New Year's Eve in the home of some lovely, lively, very fun cousins of my husband's. Yours Truly saw in the New Year with a bang -- three shots of Cafe Patron, to be exact, the very first in my 51 years. A great time was had by all.

Congrats Teardrop on your posting milestone. I like your resolution.

SOTD is Etro Ambra

A very happy, fulfilling, and prosperous New Year to you all, dear Basenoters.

Nice to have you on board, teardrop!
Lanvin Scandal Extrait (two vintages layered). That's one hell of a skank!

Surely New Years Day demands an extra wine o'clock ?. I'm game.

Dior hypnotic poison. Finally, something that lasts longer than 15mins on me!

Decision made. A strange choice for a winters day but I wanted simple and cheering so opted for Chanel Eau de Cologne. Really lovely and refreshingly sherbetty after a night of indulgence
post #26 of 47
I'm starting the new year with an old friend, Angel. And not just plain Angel, but full assault Angel: body cream, sparkly body powder and a few spritzes of EDP! Why the heck not???!

Hugs and warm wishes for a wonderful new year to all!

So would I be, believe me, but I'm going to work. I don't usually grumble but I've no notion tonight. Have one on me those who can indulge. At least I have my Chergui to keep me feeling good.

Good Evening,

Teardrop - Hearty congrats on your posting milestone and anniversary. Great to see you in here, too.
Poor Foustie having to work tonight. You're right in seeking consolation in the fact that you at least smell fab.
Larimar is smelling particularly skankalicious.
tdem - Tequila/coffee shots. Way to go !
Jon, meanwhile, has twisted my arm to have a wee tipple. Dipped into a bottle of Single Malt that a friend gifted me over the festive period. Well, it'd be rude not to try it, no ?

Jicky ( extrait ) tonight.

Best to everyone.

Yay!

Pretty peche-ture, LadyM.

Jon's sparked a mini fantasy for me: Drinking wine with the boys, Jon, Gandhajala, and Larimar.

Say, is Hedonist busy with his growing family?

Friends coming over later. Since her cancer treatment, Nancy is adverse to many smells, so I'm wearing a discreet application of CdG Jaisalmer.

Good evening and a very Happy New Year to you all. May 2013 bring less seriousness and much more fun.

Wine o clock.... I have been a little 'fragile' today shall we say, but maybe some fizzy medicine will cure it.

As for smellies... haven't yet due to the above, but I think I may try some Damasque, a new brew of many Roses, Indian saffron and mysore sandalwood.

Happy New Year to all!

I'm in Demeter Gingerale today...need something not too loud as we are planning to go see Les Misérables later this afternoon.

Happy New Year Everyone !!!!! Best wishes for a fabulous, fullfilling, fragrant 2013 to all!

I started out the New Year in remnants of the ever-elegant Hermes Caleche extrait from last night. For this afternoon, I'll join Alityke in Chanel's Eau de Cologne from a rapidly disappearing decant.

Louis Armstrong plays on my Bose and my cat sleeps contentedly by the radiator. All is good with the world.

Wouldn't that be wonderful ?.

G, L, shall we pool our resources and chip in for an air fare. We'd better be careful though - I hear she can be rather fussy.

Robbed the Piggy Bank tonight, J.!
jujy smells delish and I'm enjoying the best part of the Scandal (not the piggy thing)... the deep base of animalics lingering on for hours already.

Larimar, New Year's Day just might be my favorite day of the year. Home with family, friends, food, drink, music, and scent! Maybe it's putting up with december that makes it all worth it (;
