Question: How similar are Selection Verte and 1861?

So, I've been looking for a citrus fragrance, and I was given a 5mL sample of Selection Verte from 30 Roses, and it arrived before my sample of 1861 by Xerjoff, which from the note breakdown looks pretty similar to this since they both have mint and citrus at the main players. I know this doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I thought I'd ask in case anyone else has tried these two and knows.

Thanks.

Selection Verte is nice but seems flat and one dimensional compared to 1861. 1861 has the most lush realistic notes I have smelled in a frag, the mint leaf is like your smelling it directly from the plant and the same goes for the citrus notes.

Personally don't find them similar. Most definitely prefer the former.

Some similarities but in some aspects quite different. I find SV fresher on me.

Not similar at all. I prefer the Xerjoff.

Other than featuring citrus they are pretty different. Selection Verte feeling more classic and 1861 feeling more modern. 1861 also is all about the citrus, mostly lime. SV has some mint and such. While I do feel it has a somewhat classic feel I would not say it feels dated. They are both great though I would give the nod to 1861.
