Schools not back, so no work as yet. Time to clear away
the mayhem of Christmas and New Year!
My SOTD is Rive Gauche.
A belated Happy New Year to you all. May you enjoy health
and prosperity in 2013 (and carry on smelling fantastic!)

Nothing today (!). I slept poorly and was too tired at 7.00am to perform the mental gymnastics required for picking something to wear.
Best to all.

Good afternoon,
I'm still off work this week. Kewart's plan was mine too - cleaning and getting rid of the Christmas stuff. It always feels liberating to me.
I have Boxeuses and Forreau Noir on me. The Boxeuses with the Scandal animalic remainders from last night combined smell divine. My words... more animalic leather required in Boxeuses. So, let's turn to Fourreau Noir, which is quite perfect in what it promises.
Best to all

Oh dear, Gandhajala. That's no fun. Wishing you a restful night tonight.

Take care, everyone.

Good morning everyone!

Happy Birthday stuigi!

I don't know why the kids have another day off from school, but they do. So daughter and I will be going out for lunch together once she figures out what she wants to eat.

Hi all, l'm just in from work, feeling weary in mind & body as l haven't had a day off since Boxing Day. Also had to do the grocery shopping on the way home, which just about wore me out. l should explain that l walk to work & back, that's ten miles a week! Looking forward to two days off now, catching up on some sleep & clearing Christmas away.

SOTD was Royal Egyptian Amber & Honeysuckle by Lucy B. l'll decide on my SOTE after a bath & a meal.

Hi everyone - Happy New Year!!

We left in such a rush I didn't get a chance to wish y'all happy holidays - I sure hope they were merry and bright! We were visiting the in-laws in Las Vegas for Christmas, and now (since I never mind snow as long as I don't have to shovel it) we're in beautiful Winter Park, Colorado for a bit of skiing ...no broken bones so far, but knock wood as I've got a few days and several slopes to go!

I've been wearing lots of musks lately - I'm in Kiehl's this morning. Y'all have a fantastic day!

Good morning, good smelling people.

SSS Sienna Musk today. One of the few with the DH seal of approval, quite unexpected as the SSS are so strong he generally winces like a cat smelling a banana. But with a light touch, very pretty smell. Neither feminine nor masculine to my nose, at all.

Thanks Foustie!

"A cat smelling a banana"; Robin, that is hilarious! l get the same reaction from my bf to certain perfumes, too. Bless.

Slathered on my own sandalwood jasmine rose concoction (Myrurgia Maderas de Oriente, Donna Karan Essences Jasmine, and one spritz of Tea Rose, which would otherwise hijack the other two) in hopes this would get me through an MRI of the hip. It didn't. Even with open MRI, claustrophobia made it a no-go.

Stuigi, hugs, yay a b-day!

Crazy, insane day! Hubs goes into work, first day...learns the company got bought out and job was thrown out the window. Then just called a company that was interested in him and he got the job! This has been nuts really! Let's hope this one pans out. Omgosh, crazy.

Sick kids, sick husband, messy house, and it's only January 2nd, but I'm already behind on this month's deadlines... heavens only knows how that got me to Dior Pure Poison today, but it did. Maybe because the color of the box is the same color as my shirt.

Greets, Peeps!
Hopeful vibes for overcoming illness, job stress, claustrophobia and messy house. I mean that.

Hello all!

No work today, I try to do as little housework as possible,
after all the hard work for a New Year fest at our house yesterday.

Thanks, Quarry. I just want to add re: messy houses. Never expect to improve your house by more than 20% for company. You will exhaust yourself otherwise and no-one will notice.
Thanks Jon & gandhajala!

Kalli, that is great news!

l am now bathed & fed, & relaxing in Tom Ford's Amber Absolute. l've made my sample last a long time, but l'll miss it when it's gone. SSS's Champagne de Bois is on my wishlist for this year, though. l find the drydown very similar, & the price much more reasonable!

Evangeline -Enjoy the snow! I'm hoping to do the Winter Park Wipeout in April for my birthday!

I'm fragrance free for now, but only because I'm heading to Ulta where I can maybe find some new ones I haven't tried.
Back to work, hot weather here in S. Fla today...it feels like Summer (weird).

Miel du Bois by Serge Lutens (first time from a sample)

First time wearing this & I loved it. Really good stuff. I'm not a big fan of honey prominent scents but when it's well done, I really appreciate it. I was worried after reading some of the reviews, but I get no 'urine' notes from this. Very nice. I'm not sure I would wear a whole bottle of this, but it sure is a beauty.

This afternoon (another scent, with a nice honey note):

Antaeus by Chanel (from my dwindling decant, thanks lilybelle...wherever you are!)

SotD is Narciso Rodriguez For Her EdT. I m on my third bottle of this one. I think it goes with everything, yet it s a quite unique scent IMHO.
Woke up to a ribbed Christmas tree this morning; the cats had taken care of the ornaments, and the pine needles had transformed into a green carpet under the tree. I should have realized the poor thing needed water...

Back to work today in Chanel Bois des Iles, which seems an appropriate way to start the year.

Drive by posting tonight ... I've been busy helping my son get ready for his Fiesta Bowl party tomorrow. Food had to be made tonight because I won't have time tomorrow. I'm wearing Traversee du Bosphore today, a favorite in the summer heat, but also quite lovely in the cold weather too.

Thinking of everyone ...
