I have ownedany designer fragrances over the last 15 years. I have cherished quite a few designer frags including: Le Male, Midnight in Paris, Gucci pour homme I, etc. After 2 years of smelling and purchasing different frags both designer and niche, I only have one designer left in my collection. I currently have 9 bottles of DHI both original and reformulation. I'm not saying that niche frags are better, I've actually smelled more designer frags that garner more compliments than niche. I've actually sold most of my niche frags for pretty cheap. My collection has went from 80+ frags to 15, with the possibility of 3 future purchases. Although I've gotten more compliments with Aventus, Le Male and La nuit de l'homme, I sold them all because I didn't enjoy them anymore. Most of the scents that I now own are ones that I love to smell all day. (I.e. Bois D'argent, tobacco Vanille, musc ravaguer, creed mi, FRAPIN 1270 and Guerlain SDV.) DHI, however is at the top of my list. I don't know what's any most designer fragrances that irritates my nose but as I get older it becomes more of a problem. P.s. I also got rid of black afgano because it mad my nose and eyes burn.

A nice green top note develops into a good iris scent with a hint o light wood - a bit synthetic but all right. Gone after ninety minutes on my skin. Nice while it lasts and quite unlike others.

An all right citrus-vetiver freshness, counterbalanced by pepper, wood and later in the drydown some incense notes. A standard theme played out often and nothing special.
