212 Men - Biggest projection beast?

Around two weeks ago I was in a department store and sprayed the sleeve of my jumper twice with 212 Men. I hung the jumper up and wore it again today. While I was sitting at my desk I kept catching whiffs of 212 Men and I was slightly puzzled as to where it was coming from as there were no other men around me and only women. It was only when I put my nose to my sleeve did I realise it was me!

Now I can understand clothes can hold fragrance for a while but to hold it for two weeks and not only that for it to project is pretty amazing. I can still smell it.

I just ordered a bottle along with Versace PH. I know 212 is common in certain parts of the world but I think most people have long moved on to the next big / popular perfume I are very rarely come across this fragrance on anyone in UK so that's a bonus

I think it's a great frag. Chic is even better IMO

Nice frag, very good choice for warmer days , in my case 212 also have that great projection....

212 projects like high-beam xenon headlights on me. It's the only frag I wear that has ever produced a spontaneous comment from a (female) stranger.

I have 212, and find it does project quite well, and it does seem to have good longevity. I never got THAT good of longevity from it though! It's been a while since I have worn it -- maybe I need to revisit it.

No, but I do get a metallic note -- like green grass mixed with metal shavings or something. Maybe what I am picking up as a metal scent, you are picking up as vinegar.

Definitely not a fan of this one.

yeah this stuff does fill a room. i don't like that metallic fruity thing at all, but the patchouli and aldehydes in the huge cloud around you is not bad.

A very powerful scent with strong sillage.

I agree. On me, 1 spray is more than enough. It is extremely strong, projects and lasts forever.

Excellent summer frag. Very green, fresh. It has excellent projection for me in the hot weather. I don't get a vintage vibe at all.

I find it to smell bad..I do get a metallic note out of it.

Owned it several times, liked it, but not enough to keep it.

More like Biggest Chemical Biohazard Beast. I am not a fan.

Someday it might come back as an example of something unique and treasured, like "finest bug spray scent for men," or something like that. Until then -- no.

If you're looking for a nice, bright, modern, long-lasting, big sillage fragrance, there are many better options. The latest, cheapest crap at Marshall's, for example.

PS: I should add that I purchased a full bottle of it many years ago, and the particularly hideous deodorant, too. Saying this to let you know that I'm not some obnoxious "I'm above all that" type. No, I am perfectly capable of throwing away good money on notably atrocious fragrances. Just want to share my experience with my BN buds - your mileage may vary, but I sincerely doubt it.

Ja, I once filled an entire étage/floor with 212 fumes, judging by the comments I got. I actually think 212 for women projects equally well and I prefer smelling it off others than 212 men.

It projects fairly well on me.
I don't know if it's a vinegar note, but something about 212 makes it horrid.

I think 212 is great, but have never thought it big on projection.

While certainly no slouch, I don't find it to be a projection beast. I do think it smells beastly, however...
