What are some Fragrances Houses who use odd, exotic, and crazy mixtures of notes? I know John Varvatos does, and I am a fan of those fragrances. The reason I ask is that I'm looking for some new fragrances that smell uncommon due to these things.

BTW, I received a very nice compliment on my Varvatos Artesian today by the head of our HR Dept.

Mostly niche houses, Comptoir Sud Pacifique being the first I can think of, on the other hand, fragrance houses much more (price-wise, but not necessarily also in terms of quality) at the lower cost part of the spectrum, especially the Body Shop (pepper and other spices, white musk, tropical fruits, various types of citrus, aloe, exotic woods, pomegranate etc. being staple scent notes of their fragrances) seem to not shy away from such kinds of accords either.

Are you looking for scents with unique notes, or unique smells? Unique notes do not always equal a unique smell, e.g. the John Varvatos' you mention, I know the pyramids have some unique notes but the actual smells are far from unique IMO.
