Amouage Reflection Man

I remember when i first started collecting niche samples, amouage reflection man was one of my first. I remember spraying it and thinking that i dont really like it because it reminded me too much of le male or something. Ive collected over a hundred niche samples since then. Well, today , right now, i finally decided to wear amouage reflection man for a second time. WOW. I dont remember it smelling this good!!! It almost makes me want to purchase a bottle and its weird because i didnt care for it at all at first. Another example of how revisiting a certain fragrance you didnt care for at first can become one of your new favorites. Seriously, i smell sooooo good right now. Just thought I'd share. Lol

Good for you, break that rusty cage.

Nothing like Le Male after a few minutes if you smell them side by side. Reflection takes a floral direction while Le Male keeps going with that minty vanilla blast.

Glad you turned around! Great scent IMO!

Yeah, maybe thats why it caught be by surprise this time, because i was expecting it to smell like le male when clearly it doesnt

I hated it, and was completely weirded-out the first time I sniffed it. . . and then was strangely, irrevocably drawn in. . . now own a full bottle, wear it somewhat frequently, and have yet to come up with any kind of legitimate excuse for this aberrant behavior. . . viva la basenoters, you might say. . .

You learn well young Jedi! Enjoy man.

Maybe I should try it again. It was the most headache inducing, screechy thing I had ever smelled when I tried it, but that was over a year ago, and my tastes have changed a bit since then.

I think I went the other way... I bought a bottle, and now I have trouble wearing it. I am probably going to sell it.

+1. Had a small sample, loved it, then purchased a 10ml decant and had a hard time finishing it. Screechy is a good way of putting it.

lol, i guess this is one of those fragrances that just causes your mind to change, whether for the better or worse.

Amouage Reflection is fragrance that I've been reading about for past few days. Some of reviews talking about mix of Gucci PH II and Gaultier 2 (also Larwizs unboxing video ) makes me wanna blind buy it right now but then I read that its mix of Le Male and 1 million and I really HATE 1 million. And then there are some people that say that its closer to Fleur Du Male than Le Male, which I personally like but would not wear more than once per month.

Yeah, it has that le male, one million, dreamer mix type smell. I can see that. But don't let that fool you. It's so much more

A beautiful fragrance. My fav from the Amouage house. Smashes le male out the park.

Yes this is why I am reluctant to swap decants / sell bottles...never know how your tastes will change, I thought this one was alright at first but rarely gets a wearing these days, perhaps in the cooler months when the projection isnt as powerful.

It's a fantastic fragrance. My favourite Amouage after Interlude Man. To me, it smells nothing like Le Male and I really don't understand the comparison.

They do not have much in common after the top notes on my skin.

I like Le Male much better than Reflection Man. Something in it it just doesn't make it right. It is unwearable for me. Although i like the opening. Not worth the money IMO

One aspect that seems to be common to Amouage perfumes, they are masters of projection, and Reflection is no different. They were meant more for a stretch limo than a cab.

Wow. I definitely prefer Reflection Man as Le Male doesn't seem to have as many layers to it. But man... these 2 smell so similar.

It's a pretty potent fragrance. 6 sprays is quite a bit of projection.

On my skin, after about 6 hours, it turns very chocolatey/cocoa ish. Love it.

I've learned to go real easy with Reflection Man--it is quite powerful. One or two sprays maximum--otherwise it is annoyingly cloying to me. Martin

Inspired to pull my sample out now

Very different to Le Male, I feel it's a more complex APOM Pour Homme. I like it very much, but prefer to use it in hot weather.

Great story man! First time I tried it, I was very impressed! In fact, I still remember what I wore and the day of the week it was (Red shirt, and a Friday). lol I was so impressed with it, surprisingly, as the other Amouages I had sampled (Epic, Lyric, Dia, and Jubilation) didn't knock my socks off. But Reflection? Man! I had never felt so fragrant and sophisticated in a fragrance, EVER! And to this day, no fragrance I have tried (save perhaps Creed's Royal Oud) has made me feel as sophisticated. I wore it yesterday, and my dad, who has worn my Reflection several times, was like "what are you wearing?!?!" I told him Reflection, and he was like "man, I've never smelled it come across so nicely as it is right now! Man! It smells REALLLLY nice!" I was truly surprised, as I've worn it many times, and he's worn it a few times as well. But he was very impressed with it when I wore it yesterday. Decided to wear it again today, and it is coming off just beautifully! Love this stuff! Favorite of all times, and I just don't see myself liking anything else quite as much!

:-) Man, go ahead and get a bottle when you get your tax returns back! lol And GPH2 is one of my top 10 frags as well. I haven't smelled Gaultier 2, but I just can't see anything smelling quite this good!
