What fragrance was so bad you HAD to wash it off?

Thread Starter
I was testing out Interlude Man today and I could not take it anymore. It was the first time I could remember having to wash a fragrance off. What fragrances did you guys HAVE to wash up because you just couldnt take it anymore?

Secretions Manifiques, Black Afgano and Eau Sauvage Parfum immediately come to mind. It didn't work on any of them, however...

I was sick the first time I tried A*Men and had that gag reflex and had to wash it off. Even then I awoke in the middle of the night and could still smell its stench and had to have a shower.
I remember at least Yatagan, Azzaro Acteur, Calvin Klein Escape, Ungaro II, Bvlgari Black

Blind buy went horribly wrong. Sold it off and didn't lose any money.
Secretions Magnifiques, the only one out of hundreds that I had to scrub.
Fahrenheit, Curve.
I once so tempted to trying Womanity. and that thing is just pure gross

on men perfume, its not that bad, but I found that A*Men sometimes can get utterly cloying that I need to get a bath quickly
post #9 of 150
Yep, A Men for me also.

Vile stuff

1 Million and Apres L'Ondee

Cool water and L'heure Bleu.

Tobacco Vanille

Fahrenheit 32 and Body Kouros. Both are just horribly vile. Thankfully, I could return the Body Kouros and I tested F32 in Sephora. I'll never do that again.

And A Men now that I think of it.

Over-sprayed Gucci Pour Homme I one time and had to wash it off before I got sick.
Eau Sauvage Parfum comes to mind as well, but I have a very sensitive nose. If I over spray anything (meaning more than 2 sprays for me), especially chemical smelling scents like Versace Pour Homme, I get a headache and my stomach turns.

Kouros

Vetiver Extraordinaire. Overwhelmed me immediately.

Cuir de Russie by Chanel is absolutely rank. Like the handbag of an ageing whore. Gave it a second chance today, and it still has that unmistakeable rotten leather and iris nightmare.

EDIT: Also, all the rubbing alcohol in the world is powerless to stop it!

Kiss Him by Kiss. Do NOT blind buy this s* * * *.

Bond no.9 I love NY for all... Omg this stuff was awful!
Musc Ravageur. Any animalic fragrances just dont work for me.
Joop: turns my stomach just thinking about it

Breath Of God: I gagged, and couldn't get it off of me fast enough.

Pasha de Cartier: horrible stuff

Givenchy Pi, Le Male, Spice Bomb, Fahrenheit, A*Men, Escape, RL Romance, Bleu de Chanel, Clinique Happy, Ferragamo PH, Curve, Nautica Sport, Van Cleef PH, lolita lempika

So many more i can't think of right now. ALL scrubbers.

I can't stand overly sweet, or synthetics. Also, those pungent, punch you in the face "powerhouse" scents.....i run from them.

Serge Lutens Jeux de peux.... It was awful, and I really love the Lutens house.

I'm really tempted with Aseel right now. There's that "fake rose" scent that I never much cared for.

EDIT: and it's gone.

Only one: Emporio Armani Diamonds for Men.

So sticky, cloying, and bad that I had to run back to the store that I sprayed it on at... directly to their bathroom. (And this is coming from an A*Men fan.)

My initial wearing of Versace Dreamer was a last minute double-chest-full spritz about an hour prior to bedtime. I awoke a couple of restless hours sleep later and had to shower/scrub it off in order to get back to sleep.

When I read the thread title, the 1st one that came to my mind was this one! I got in on a split of this stuff when it first came out. Wore it once. Possibly never again.

There have been a few other absolute scrubbers, but this one was possibly the worst.

Odeur 71. APPALLING.

Somebody couldn't pay to wear that.

Chanel Allure Homme Sport Extreme. Wow, was it nasty. This is coming from a guy who owns and likes Sport Homme and Bleu.
Prada Amber...smelt like candle wax and church
post #45 of 150
Bleu de Chanel. I was out on the town yesterday and every other guy on the street and in restaurants seemed to be wearing it. Nauseating. Tried it twice. Immediate scrubber both times.
There have been several..mostly the heavily aldehydic types, but Cool Water does not work at all for me.
Chanel Platinum Egoiste. At least two scrubbings. I keep trying, but so far just it's not working for me.

Recently had to flee Target, drive home as fast as possible and wash off Tim McGraw Soul2Soul. No kidding. That bad.

Another vote for Tobacco Vanille. Was stuck on me even after a vigorous shower. Horrid stuff.
Oh and Pacco Rabbane Black xs l'exces. Smelled like cheap lipstick and strawberry. Almost as if it was a little kids perfume. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!1
post #51 of 150
Jicky, Derby, Heritage, Habit Rouge, etc. All scrubbers. Black Aoud has to be one of the worst fragrances I have ever smelled as well. All of them are nasty.
Musc Ravageur here also....I can't for the life of me figure out why that stuff is hailed as a great one....whew it was so bad from the second it left the sprayer.

Comme des Garcons Monocle: Hinoki, and Lush Breath of God, almost immediately because I had allergic reactions to them.

Molecule 01 (ghastly, gave me a nasty headache). Washing it off didn't help, though.

CdG Leaves: Tea and Incense Kyoto. Smell Bent Werewolf Lumberjack and One. Timbuktu. Imaginary Authors Falling Into The Sea.

Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, because I got so sick and tired of it. This one lasted untouched through washing, which I found particularly obnoxious.
