I am in the mood to buy a coffret. Seems to me like a good way to sample and wear some fragrances from one house that I might not be too familiar with. So I need the expertice of basenoters on what may be available (and where) and suggestions on which collections might be most worthy of a purchase. I'm most interested in niche fragrances.

I made a thread about this a few days ago and got the same responses. There is also the MDCI one that you get a voucher back if you want to get one of their fragrances for. It's 5x12mL bottles.

Where can I get an Amouage men's coffret? I keep getting whiffs of their stuff that smells plain great.

This is a great service from this house. I developed the set I wanted and he completely agreed and made a suggestion or two.
This is how I "discovered" Le Rivages des Syrtes-from PdN You can decide how much of each you want. I chose Amber, Chypre Palatin, IB and he suggested RdS.

I am planning to do it again quite soon.

In the end I decided to order Mona di Orio. I have been wanting to try some from her and never had the chance. Amouage tempted me too and that one may be next. I have two of the Malle fragrances and sampled a few more do decided against that. Thanks for the ideas. (The PG L'Orgue set is a possibility but Secretions Magnifique is the worst thing I have ever smelled so I am scared of the house.) ;-)

You're confusing Parfumerie Generale with Etat Libre d'Orange. PG has no shockers like Secretions Magnifiques, they have mostly pleasant and natural scents.
