Recommend Me A Summer Frag

Thread Starter
This frag will be my go to for summer! I'm looking for one with good longevity and good silage. Looking to spend up to $100, help me out please!

I know I started another thread not too long ago but I'm deciding I want a summer frag to narrow down the recommendations.
What kind of thing are you looking for? Clean, fruity, woody? Something else?
Gucci Guilty, its a very nice summer fragrance. It has a fruity dry-down and projects very well. " This gets plenty of compliments" Smells like watermelon

Armani Code Summer, almost like the original Code but Has more of a citrus opening and mellow dry-down. Projects well also.

Creed's Silver Mountain Water.

Try:

Terre d'Hermes by Hermes

Bleu de Chanel by Chanel

a split of Creed's Aventus/ Green Irish Tweed/ Silver Mountain Water (from the Splits Board)

read poor reviews on it, bad silage/projection and longevity.
A ton of fragrance get bad reviews etc. You need to base it on your personal experience only. You asked and I gave you a honest answer, if you pass them up over YouTube videos ypu will never find or pass up a fragrance you might love.

Get a sample of it. Projection/longevity has a LOT to do with skin chemistry. I have frags that people say don't last more than a few hours and I get 8+ hours out of them. Things seem to last forever on my skin. Your skin might be that way as well, but you won't know until you try.

Kenzo Air is a top 5 for me.

Creed VIW is great.

Burberry Summer is less expensive but good. Less longevitity than the formoer though

D&G light Blue for women is exceptional (I consider it unisex)

Molecule 01 is great year round, but summer heat makes it do awesome stuff.

Givenchy Play
Kenzo Sport

Been thinking of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche, Platinum Egoiste or Versace Pour Homme. What do you guys think?
D&G ph, Versace eau fraiche, Kenzo ph
Allure Homme Edition Blanche is a good choice.

I also recommend:

Guerlain Homme L'Eau
Dior Homme Sport
Nautica Voyage
Beyond Paradise Men
L'Eau d'Issey Eau d'Ete Summer Edition 2009 (if you can find it...good luck...should be around $75 right now)
Bleu de Chanel
Concentre D'Orange Verte (Hermes)

These are the best designer summer frags in my opinion. Out of all of them, Guerlain Homme L'Eau is my favorite.

What?? Gucci Guilty is an absolutely terrible fragrance. When compared to Gucci PH I & II it's quite easy to see the degradation of Gucci fragrances. Armani Code Summer smells like the original Code?? Not at all to my nose.

To the op, check out Ferre Bergamotto Marino, a cheapie that's great for the warm weather.

Gucci Pour Homme II
Bleu De Chanel
Kenneth Cole Reaction
Versace Dreamer
Chanel Allure Homme Sport - beautiful summer fragrance in my opinion [can also be used year round if you really want].
Compliment getters for summer: Millesime Imperial (you can find about 140 on ebay), Allure Homme Sport, Edition Blanche,Terre d'Hermes, Dior Homme and YSL L'homme

THAT'S YOUR OPINION, all I know i get tons of attention when I wear it. Its not a huge seller for nothing

So because you get compliments from women, that makes it a good fragrance? Guilty has poor longevity, a completely generic and synthetic smell, and at my Sephora the 3.0oz bottle costs $80+tax!! Too much money for this fragrance. I apologize for my rudeness. I was sharing my opinion, perhaps I should have worded it differently. No offense my friend.
We all have tastes but that's how it is on you....I have Creeds that I dont wear because they dont last etc. But I cant go around saying they are bad period. Hell im wealthy and I know better just to buy those expensive brand just for the name like some do.
Someone mentioned Nautica Voyage...I completely Agree. Plus, you can get a 3.4 oz for somewhere around $20, so you can grab another more expensive one in addition to that.
Some others;
Burberry Brit (Summer ed. if you can find it)
L'homme by YSL
Perry Ellis 360 Red (better version of ADG)
Mugler Cologne
Dior Homme Sport
Platinum Egoiste by Chanel

Thinking about pulling the trigger on Allure Homme Sport then getting something on the side, maybe Cool Water or Versace Pour Homme or Nautica Voyage or something. What do you guys think?
Cool water or Voyage on the side, AHS is good too. Sounds solid.

AHS and Versace PH are quite similar, get one or the other, not both.

azzaro chrome or nautica voyage or cool water?
Nautica voyage. I used to like chrome azzaro but suddenly it became very sharp to my nose. I would grab either AHS or DHS with a cheaper one. I sampled Gucci guilty today and didn't get the fruity vibe from it. I got more of a woods/spice with a fruit in the background. Not bad but just not my style. To each his own tho. Test everything. Go to macys Nordstrom etc. and test some out.

Or I might get Perry Ellis 360 Red on the side. Don't know yet.

Of the 3, Voyage.

One of my favorites, Cartier Declaration Cologne.
I've been looking into this too. (We are having blistering 100F+ heat here). So far, I've found Azzaro Chrome, Cool Water and Eau de Rochas work well for fragrance and longevity. All can be found for well under $100.

Recommended to me, but not yet tried, were Monsieur Balmain, Terre d'Hermes, and Caron 3rd Man. Creed MI was a strong recommendation, but is probably too expensive.

Getting some decants online is a good way to check these scents on yourself and decide what suits you.
Bleu De Chanel, if you can find it cheaper than the retail price
Dior Homme Sport
Dior Homme Sport & Creed VIW saw a lot of action last summer, I predict they'll see a lot of action again this coming summer. Given the option, I'd roll with vintage DHS, but both are pretty nice.
Dior Homme Sport is the perfect summer fragrance. I'm traveling to Brazil next month, where it is now summer and extremely hot. I will be taking one bottle of DHS and rock it daily.
I recommend to anyone traveling to a warm climate (especially tropical) to take a nice vetiver scent with them...

Guerlain Vetiver - the latest version is wonderful and clean, yet deep and very green; while the previous (ribbed/frosted bottle) has more tobacco in the base and louder citrus on top

Another bottle to consider taking is a nice, fragrant citrus with good longevity - Monsieur Balmain, Eau de Rochas Pour Homme

Finally - a great scent that can be casual or dressed up - Original Dolce & Gabanna Pour Homme (Made in Italy)

Bon Voyage and safe travels to all...cheers!

My vote is for Dior Homme Sport!

The new formulation. I have the older one, and it just doesn't seem as refined
As the current one. The new one has a great ginger note, with some extra iris in there. Amazing stuff for hot weather.

Great longevity. Average silage.
Bleu de Chanel, Guerlain Homme, Platinum Egoiste...
