I don't they they smell very similar at all.

It may be versatile and garner compliments, but more importantly, it smells good.

not at all. i don't have dior homme but i have smelled it numerous times. (i do have dior homme intense tho). I have a bottle of dior bois d'argent, it is a wonderful and masterful scent. The best way i can describe is that it smells like clouds. The only similarity to me is that they have that base powdery smell that all dior scents seem to share.

However, i just want to share my experience with this. although I really love the scent, most women i know didn't like it. They thought it smells like baby powder / incense. I've gotten pretty much unanimously negative comments on it (solicited or unsolicited), saying that its too feminine or incense-ish.

So if you're fishing for compliments or want to smell good for girls / people around you I would recommend against it, you'll fare MUCH better with DHI. BUT, if its purely for yourself, go for it. IMO for iris scents it really doesnt get better than Bois d'argent. Just my 2 cents =P But yeah. you should sample it first though. i would not recommend a blind buy for this.

I think they're different enough to own both. Bois d'Argent is more like a higher quality version of VC&A Midnight in Paris. Good stuff!

Dior Homme is nothing like Bois d'Argent.
