Well, well, well, what is this! Never heard of it before and I'm not convinced this is not a fake product. No notes anywhere, no info on release date; has anyone seen & tried Sahara Noir?

New to me

Look credible.
Tom Ford relies on the Arabian market.

Although personally haven't heard of it, it looks fine to me.

Legit.

It appears to be new!

Discussion about it here too: http://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=48807

And if more proof were needed, the trademarking info: http://www.trademarkia.com/tom-ford-...-85497278.html

Thanks voodoodanny! Still no closer to finding out what is smells like, though, seriously nobody on any of the fragrance boards have tried it? And no official press release, not anywhere? I think that's strange, Tom Ford usually has elaborate campaigns when he releases a new fragrance.

I agree - it does seem a little odd. Maybe that's all still to come... That said, there do seem to be a few bottles for sale on the web. Let's hope this thread draws some answers!

"bergamot, mandarin orange, violet, ginger and basil; middle notes are grapefruit blossom, orange blossom, tobacco and black pepper; base notes are amber, cedar, patchouli, oakmoss and leather."

Found this will be released February 2013.

With a boring notes list like that it's almost impossible to tell what it'll smell like.

Launches may 2013. 50ml only for £100. Similar in scent to the discontinued Amber Absolute. Not a carbon copy but targeting the same market

Its potently smokey- very similar to Amber Absolute. I don't get any citrus at all- just pure smoke. Bottle is gorgeous though.

THese are the main notes: Its centered around Frankincense.

The composition is built around frankincense, which can be found at all three main stages of the development of the fragrance.

Top notes include frankincense, a pristine quality of cistus essence graded Orpur®, bitter orange, Jordanian oasis calamus, Levantine cypress - a reference to the 1001 Arabian Nights.

In the heart we have frankincense essence Orpur® , cinnamon, cool papyrus extract, Egyptian jasmine templar and rose absolute from Morocco. "A beeswax extraction from Burma lends body and a supple, honeyed-animalic richness."

Base notes are ambery, featuring labdanum (labdanum absolute & fractioned ambreinol) – benzoin, vanilla, cedar, frankincense resin, agarwood and balsam.

Has anyone tested this, someone on Fragrantica said it was an exact copy of FK's Absolue Pour le Soir.

Coincidentally i tried this yesterday. A brief spritz on my wrist. I think I'll give it a proper wearing today.

It is allllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll about frankincense as the main note. Other notes dance around it throughought.

Lovers of La Fumee, Bois d'Encens & L'Eau Trois keep an eye out.
