A long time ago, I stayed at the Hotel Concorde Lafayette in Paris and they had a gift shop selling souvenirs of the hotel including a perfume with the hotel logo - non gender specific but a nice fresh green/aromatic scent. It was intriguing enough to pick up a bottle but not sure if they have kept production of that scent - still have more than half a bottle of it today and the scent has not changed. Back in the early 80's, I think Berlin Cosmetics brought out a fragrance called Adlon Pour Homme - a tribute to the famed Hotel Adlon in Berlin - can't remember if there was a womens version but it was released without any consent from the hotel and hence had to be withdrawn very quickly. I managed to find a bottle of the after shave a few years later - nice enough scent. Then there is Caesar's Palace (can't remember if there was a hotel then) - with Caesars Man - which I really like - and also a few womens fragrances. Many years later, Hotel Costes launched their exclusive formula putting hotel fragrances in the uber chic extremely expensive range. Prior to Costes, the other fragrances were very affordable as I guess they were going for the mass market. I have also read that the Plaza in New York has released an exclusive perfume. A little side tracked, when staying at the Sofitel in Munich, they had infused L'Artisan fragance into the lobby and other Sofitels are following suit having a signature L'Artisan scent in a particular premise - I think the fragrances are from the home fragrance line. Has anyone stayed in a particular hotel and found a range of fragrances made for that particular hotel and would that interest you to own any? Would love to hear any comments if anyone has come across anyting interesting whilst travelling ......
