I just sampled this for the first time, and i LOVE it!! If you like Gucci PH II you NEED to try this. My favorite from SL so far. Bottle worthy IMO

I really loved it on paper but it gets super sweet on my skin. I had the exact same experience with Cedre.

Have to check that one out.

It's wonderful stuff. A great, sweet and spicy fragrance for five o'clock tea time, or cocktail hour, as the case may be. I purchased it on a whim, and it's turned out to be one of my favorite SLs. Buy with confidence. Congrats on finding such a good one.

Thanks. Theres a 50mL bottle on eBay for $80. Sounds too good to be true

Very nice scent indeed.

Not sure where you're located or where they ship but Fragrancenet has it at $100.19 and 15% off of that. Go through ebates for a 6% rebate and you're in good shape.

I like it alot.
Always loved prominent Ginger in fragrance.
Had Jovan Ginseng NRG & Polo Sport as a young boy.

Love it. Wore it yesterday after a long time and forgot how good it is. If its been discontinued it still seems quite available.

awesome fragrance, need to get myself a bottle soon

I got a decant of it and tore right through it! This one is a close second to Chergui from the Serge Lutens house. I think this is definitely full bottle worthy.

Whats your number one?

Borneo?
Fumerie Turque?

Chergui, 5 O'clock Gingembre, Fumerie Turque, Amber Sultan and Jeau de Paux round out my top five Lutens. I haven't had the privilege to get my nose on Iris Silver Mist.

Nice smelling but very boring to me...I'll stick with the Gucci

top 5 Serge's to me:

La Myrrhe
Iris Silver Mist
Sarrasins
De Profundis
Gris Clair

Starts out very refreshing and maybe a little anonymous in the sense that it may come across like a fairly common designer fresh scent but then the dry-down turns very Lutens with its amber, musk and sweet spices. Maybe not FBW for me, but I would like a small decant.

Hi all,

I just received my bottle, magnificent fragrance. For the record, it is very similar to L'homme sage by Divine - which is less sweet and less complex (and less expensive!).

Lutens always boost my vanity, try all of them (female ones included)...they always win you compliments from ladies!

It's interesting to me when fragrances I've sampled and like are compared to fragrances I already have and love. It's like it's no surprise that I love this fragrance and it's compared to fragrances I own. That's why I like it, without consciously realizing that that's why..the fact that I own stuff like it! lol
