Title says it all. What is the best and most reliable site for samples? Also, are samples the genuine article? Thanks.

For free or for purchase?

Hi Christian. I just assumed they would have to be purchased. How would one get samples for free? I don't mind paying for samples. Looking for good selection and a site that is trustworthy. Thanks.

I've had good luck buying samples (one at a time or a lot of 10) on eBay.

For purchase try:

http://www.fragrancex.com
http://www.myperfumesamples.com

You can find free samples at your local department stores and Sephora stores by asking. You can also buy samples online cheaply at http://www.myperfumesamples.com, http://www.surrendertochance.com, http://www.luckyscent.com, and a website called the Crystal Flacon where their members sell samples and larger decants (bbDB's is a good one).

I've ordered from Surrender to Chance, The Perfumed Court, Aedes de Venustas, and Luckyscent and had good experiences with all of them.

I second (third, I guess) Lucky Scent and Surrender to Chance.

I have used www.aedes.com and www.luckyscent.com and will likely use www.minnewyork.com in the near future.

I've ordered samples from Surrender to Chance, their service is top notch. I recently stopped by Neiman Marcus to sample some Ouds and they were happy to give me samples.

See the 12-page thread stickied on the Fragrance Industry and General discussion board entitled,
