Hi all! I hope to get back into the swing of posting more after almost a year of fragrance and Basenotes hiatus (not self-imposed, just that perfume sort of fell back in the priority list).

I'm in Ormonde Man today. I fell deeply in love with Ormonde Woman couple of months ago and feel that Ormonde Man may be my next full bottle from Ormonde Jayne. Both are different enough (to my nose) to warrant separate purchases.

Hello all. Andrea Maack Craft, bought it very cheaply in Les Senteurs sale.

Good morning, everyone!

Hi, Pamplelune!! Great to see you here again!

Very cold and windy this morning, so I picked Angel to keep me warm.

Have a great day!

Welcome back, Pamplelune! I still haven't tried any of the Ormonde Jayne line. I should put that on my fragrance to-do list this year ...

Plaisir, you smell lovely

Jon, are there any rooms still to be had at Hotel JR? Still no snow or rain in sight for my part of the country. This winter has felt like a high desert climate (cold and dry), and I don't care for it at all. My face is one big dry spot no matter how much I moisturize, and my hands are cracking. Poor me, right? I need my own whine zone.

I didn't get around to fragance until yesterday evening, at which point I went with Parfumerie Generale Coze. I still don't know how I feel about this one, which is probably all I need to know for now.

SotD is Slumberhouse Baque. I only used 1 1/2 sprays, but I was still a little concerned as I boarded the elevator at work that people would think I had been boozing it up this morning. It has a very pronounced bourbon note on me for the first couple of hours.

Good afternoon all & welcome back Pamplelune!

We had a hard frost here this morning, & the temperature has stayed below freezing all day, but still no snow.

SOTD was Sheer Obsession, & l'm planning to sample Amber Rouge by Aroma M this evening.

Thanks all for the welcomebacks!

Later in the day I wore L'Artisan Mimosa Pour Moi (discovered in the Harrods sale) and then Lush's Snowcake.

Oooo, iodine, I've been wanting to try Djhenne -- what do you think of it?

I've just put a tiny spritz not so long ago, so I really can't say properly... It's sort of peculiar, I would say a bit weird with a floral opening (lilacs?) and leather notes and, being PG, a certain sweetness. (as a side note- it's not my cup of tea, though I find it interesting)
I'll test it and report more accurately in the near future...

Have a great day!

Pino Silvestre by Silvestre (first time from a sample - thank you S!)

Can you believe I've never smelled this? I like it a lot, although I went easy on the trigger because I wasn't sure it was going to give me a head ache or not. It didn't. Next time I'll apply a bit more. This one easily wears as nice as Blenheim Bouquet, at a fraction of the price (Foustie - have you smelled this?). No wonder this ones been around forever. I look forward to wearing it again.

I'm testing Kerosene Fields of Rubus today. A surprisingly delightful fruity-patchouli. I'm always afraid of raspberry or blackberry scents because of those dreadful body sprays a certain well-known body and bath shop sells. Seems like they are overwhelmingly sweet and in-your-face, especially when sprayed heavily. Fields of Rubus is not like that at all! The fruit is tart with the patchouli and wood notes grounding it very well. I like it!

hugs to all ...

haha
oh thats what my dad used to wear , its really smelling like a pine tree its proper, unmistakably masculine scent and very cheap(if my daddy wore it haha)

today i was testing Jubilation 25 ext., oh not another Amouage i love! really love it, i sniffed it first time when i discovered scents, and could not go over that smoky bitter notes at the opening! Ubar was my thing....
now after a year or more, its gorgeous, classic with modern feel to it!! i love it how it goes from smoky to sweet-floral, how its complex but not animalic, and how its dense but fresh, dancing on the edge to fall to soapy

on the other hand 1740!!! one woman came to me when i asked for a spray asking me what did i try that it smells so good and it does, its sweet, sweet, everlasting flower, spiced up like with cinamon, marketed to men but its very femme with those sweet elemis!

i had to try CDG as well , it really smells like some natural medicine , i love it for its weirdness!! it doesnt have perfume structure but i like the idea, a perfume with purpose not only to smell good but to heal

i treid one spray of 1969, but it stood no chances among all others on my hands!

Wore Samsara today.

Tried posting to the thread earlier but pages weren't loading.

We had snow last night and today school was canceled. Back to normal tomorrow.
I spent the afternoon wearing Blackberry & Bay layered over French Lime Blossom (from samples).
