There are a lot of nice quotes on Wise Sayings of the Day, but I made this thread to go more in depth. More than just a quote, but a detailed description of experiences. Each day, if someone has a profound lesson they learned about life and themselves that fundamentally changed their view and orientation toward such, definitely post it.
I'll start
Lesson #1
Don't cater to people's wants. Appeal to people's needs.
Don't focus on people's wants because half of the time, people don't know what they want. You may give something to them that they incessantly wanted only for them to find that they may not want it anymore or may not want those things anymore. This includes superficial things like wearing expensive clothes, having a sports car, having a large luxurious house, being wealthy, being famous, being very attractive physically, agreeing with everything the other person believes in, flattery, etc. These are all things that people may want, but not what they need.
People need to feel valued and be inspired. They need to be treated with kindness and understood.
