Night Out Cologne

Hi, I'm new to this. I'm looking for a recommendation (EDT) that fits the following criteria:

-Price: <$50, preferrably <$35 (looking for a ~3.4 oz bottle)
-Avoid "sweet" or "aquatic" scents
-Something masculine and sexy, good for nights out (parties/dates)
-Fit for a college student
-In production (no discontinued EDT's that are difficult to find)
-Hopefully not something everyone wears, like "One Million" or "Fierce"

I live in USA btw.

Some things I prefer:

-Dark + spicy scents, sandalwood
-Floral is good too (think dark rose)

I was considering ungaro iii (current formula) for the dark rose scent but some reviewers have turned me off of it. I also looked at Zino Davidoff, but I think it's a little too old-fashioned for me. Sorry for all the text, and thanks for the help!

Also: It must have good longevity + sillage!

That's a touch above $50, but Aramis 900 is a wonderful dark resinous scent with floral notes.

Thanks for the reply. I'm also considering Xeryus Rouge and F pour Homme Black (Ferragamo)as well. Any thoughts on these 2 and 900?

Always worth giving a sniff to Dior's Fahrenheit, I'd say.

Re: Xeryus and Ferragamo, I have not smelled the Ferragamo. Aramis 900 feels to me richer, more resinous, and with a more detectable rose note. Xeryus rouge feels lighter in feel and sweeter.

Carbone de Balmain

Mont Blanc Individuel (cheap, spicy, kinda floral)
Azzaro Acteur (cheap, dark, dry masculine rose)
CK One Shock (cheap, strong, good for a night out)

For dark and spicy, I would say you want Gucci Pour Homme I (2003) but it is discontinued, expensive, and you'll have to duel with some Basenoter for any bottle you find. So the next best choices would be "Dirty English" (at Marshall's/TJ Maxx for under $20 and online for under $30) or "Intimately Beckham Men".

You also might want to check out Encre Noire which can be found online for reasonable prices or search out a deal for Terre d'Hermes.

Hanae Mori HM is what you want.

3.4oz can be had on Perfumania right now for $31.49.

It starts off candied lemon, hits a heart of florals, and dries down with a slight coco vanilla vibe. It has excellent projection and longevity. Great year round fragrance.

I also co-sign the CK One Shock for Him..though many people may wear this.

Thanks for all of the quick responses! So I'm thinking about getting the F pour Homme Black and the Intimately Beckham as suggested by another poster (3.4 oz of the former and 1.0 oz of the latter can be bought for under $50). I don't know about the sillage/projection/longevity of IB though, can anyone comment on that? Also, are the floral notes obvious? I plan to use it for an afternoon-evening casual scenario (not partying).

La Nuit De L'Homme is kind of sweet, but you may actually like it.
Boss Bottled is good for all occasions.

I second Carbone de Balmain. Very good stuff, in production, masculine & sexy and not overly sweet. Very cheap too (around $30 shipped). I blind bought this based on another basenoter's recommendation and totally dig it =)
