New from Caron: My Ylang

Caron is getting ready to launch My Ylang in March.



Top: blackcurrant and mandarin
Middle: white flowers, jasmine, ylang Supreme Absolute, lily of the valley, green rose
Base: Green vanilla

(The note pyramid is my interpretation of the jumble of notes I found on the site)

I like the new packaging. The juice sounds...fine, could be a refined fruity-floral if they get it right.

A new Caron is cause for celebration enough, but if it's majoring on one of my most loved notes - oh joy!

Is it me or does Blackcurrant seem to be the top notes flavor of the month lately. Seems a lot of new fragrances are using it.

There is also ginger, pear and pineapple in it. Musk is in the base, of course. Will NOT be even remotely interested in testing this.

Is this really what women (the mass market) want to smell like... charming like a pear and fruity-sweet like a dessert one turns away from with disgust as if one had eaten too much.

Sorry, but for me this does not sound at all interesting. As if they are trying really hard to follow on the heels of what Guerlain are releasing in the main stream.

I'd like to try it sometime. Have been getting around to all the Carons lately. Grooving on Belladogia the most. Hoping the get the Fleurs de Rocaille. I have the Fleur de Rocaille and it sounds like this is a completely different scent.
