Parfums M.Micallef, known for their presented in marvelous hand-decorated bottles, is announcing the launch of its new Eau de Parfum ROYAL VINTAGE.

Part of the EXCLUSIF collection which gathers exceptional fragrances for men and women, ROYAL VINTAGE offers a very subtle fragrance: opening on tonic scents of pink berries and bergamot, the assertive notes of cypress and patchouly are lightened by the softness of leather and musk notes. ROYAL VINTAGE is a perfume for men with timeless sophisticated elegance.

"The design of the ROYAL VINTAGE bottle was inspired by glamorous and iconographic images from the classic cinema universe: beautiful vintage cars adorned with glittering chrome bumpers, "says Martine Micallef.

Head note: Pink berries and bergamot

Heart note: Cypress and leather

Base note: Patchouly and musk.

Parfum1 shows available this month.

Thanks for the heads up palm.

Usually a quality line, I liked my sample of style and one of the vanillas was quite good. Im a bit torn on this one, I expect it to be good but the notes seem well done quite a bit.

Thanks for the info.

I would like to give this one a try for sure. Thanks for the heads-up

Sounds interesting! I really dig Yellow Sea, but not any of the others in the Micallef line.

I have tested it and while I can appreciate the quality of ingredients, I can not say the same about the smell itself. It is not something groundbreaking, but something you have smelled before. I get this with every fragrance from this house that I have tested. I guess that they focus more on the quality of notes, than the smell.

Sounds promising but who knows

Going by how warped that bumper is the Porsche doesn't like it.

I smelled this yesterday at Elements, reminded me of Aventus a bit as it had a very similar pineapple smell. Pineapple is not listed in the notes but there is definitely something in the juice that reminds me of Aventus

I tried the scent they created for Fortnum and Mason. I was pretty underwhelmed by it. It sounded good on paper, but when it came to the sniff test, it turned into a let down.

I have had this fragrance in my collection for a week now, and I personally think it's among their best in the exclusive line.

Other reviewers have found it to be pleasant but not dissimilar to things already on the market. I would be interested in more specifics as to whynyounfind this scent so appealing. Thanks.

That is very discouraging. Hopefully Micallef can do a lot better than that...

Looking forward to test this one

Smelled this yesterday form a sample and I agree with the resemblance to aventus. I should test them side by side.

I just received my sample today and I agree that it's similar to Aventus. Creed Aventus can be good sometimes but I'm disappointed that this new Micallef offers nothing new or exciting... NEXT!

Cool bottle!

Typical Micallef, the notes look good on paper, but fails to deliver out of the bottle.

Just smelled it too. Actually very nice but does in fact smell like Aventus.

I just received my sample in the mail and have been wearing it on skin the past half-hour... I am afraid at least early-on it smells *very* similar to Aventus with its pineapple and smoke. I had hoped folks were reaching with their comparison as I dislike that stuff, but alas it is true. What a bummer; one of the few Micallefs I am indifferent to. I suppose Aventus fans will probably love Royal Vintage, but apart from avoiding the Aventus batch variations why buy this over the original when they cost similar money? Boo!

Wore it last night - While I am still getting over a cold, I did smell a very strong similarity to Aventus. I will have to give this another try in a few days. From what I could determine, it seemed quite nice.

My 2 cents.... yes, smells like Aventus but in a better way for me. Aventus has too much stinky pepper smell for me, so for me, this is very similar and actually better. Unfortunately the price isn't much better, but a nice scent.

Micallef has really fallen apart, imo. They discontinued all the interesting/unique releases, and kept shit like Jewel For Him (a sad TdH wannabe), and now this - an Aventus clone.

RIP Micallef.

Micallef seems to have changed their direction in regards to their mens' offerings, going for a more arid contemporary style. Their older fragrances like the various Seas, Notes, etc. were more classically oriented with a richer feel.

Everyone already mentioned the obvious.  Although I like it even more than Aventus.  Price is pretty good too. ($185/100 ml less 20% if you have a Parfum1 coupon).

Those 20% off Parfum 1 coupons arriving to your e-mail come in quite handy, don't they?
