A greener John Varvatos?

Hello. I'm wondering if anyone can help recommend a greener John Varvatos original, if there is such a thing.

I've always liked this one since it originally came out, but I know I can't wear this everyday as it's a tad bit rich for that for me (though the creamy drydown is what makes me appreciate this). I usually wear green and/or fougeres 98% of time for what it's worth, so anything with these elements would work. Also, I've been out of the fragrance world for the past few years so any new releases probably flew past me since then.

Thanks.

I dont see this as green personally. Smells like cherry cough syrup and leather IMO

Nor do I. Apologize for the initial confusion. I wanted to know if there is anything similar but with added green/fougere aspects.

thanks!

Hmmm im not to sure on that one...Gucci by Gucci comes to mind though. Has a wood/tobacco with scent of leather. I can see it as what you are looking for.

Thanks for the recommendation. I can't remember if I ever smelled that one. I think I have the sport version (which I never wear as it's too chemically). I'll be sure it give a test next time i see it.

I may be off-base, but Santos de Cartier Concentree reminds me of a greener, less leathery JV.

Why don't you experiment a little.....

Apply your Varvatos as usual, and give it a couple of minutes to dry, then apply a very light touch of one of your green/fougere scents on top, and see what the resulting mix is like......

You never know.......

Thanks for all the relies.

I agree that Santos shares a creamy base with JV and I also happen to wear that often. I will definitely try Azzaro Silver Black, as well.
