Tell me about Diors Fahrenheit

Over the last few months I have had the chance to test farenheit several times and getting mostly different results. At times I would get 3 hours longevity on 3 solid sprays to the wrist and other times I would get 6+ hours. I really want to like this stuff but don't think its worth purchasing if it doesnt last. I am talking about the current formulation for those that are wondering and would like to hear your thoughts on longevity sillage or anything else you would like to add.

Speaking only for me I have never had any problem with longevity. It's a wonderful scent.

Well it's only one of the greatest fragrances of all time and a no doubt masterpiece. That's all there is that needs to be known haha.....Maybe you are experiencing olfactory fatigue? Take a break from it, come back to it, and try again!

You're most likely experiencing olfactory fatigue. It lasts a long time on me.

I agree with the other basenoters, I get 8+ hrs longevity and good silage with Fahrenheit and i have very dry skin...I own a lot of niche parfums, however, Fahrenheit was one of my first colognes purchased and its one of the best out in the market in terms of regular colognes & holds a special place in my wardrobe...

"I'm gonna be honest with you, that stuff smells like pure gasoline."

Wow. If you think the current formulation smells like pure gasoline, than what about the original? It was much stronger and projected all day and night.

The original did not smack of pure petroleum. I loved the vintage dearly but detest the current monstrosity.
I think the vintage-versus-current Fahrenheit hand-wringing is overwrought. I own a bottle from around 1995, and tested some of the 2012 version recently. Sure, the old stuff is a bit richer, but it's not a drastic difference, and the new stuff smelled distinctly like, well, Fahrenheit. Still deep, sexy stuff.

Try Fahrenheit Absolute for a darker, smoother scent. Very intriguing!
My original Bottle is amazing... I think that the newer absolute has more of the guts of this original.

But if you can't smell something, and have worn it a lot, put it into low rotation, and come back to it to enjoy later when you can enjoy it again...

Is this still available from Dior?

I'm hoping it could be dry skin as its really cold wear I live. Does Fahrenheit react well with the increase of body temperature?
I have never had a problem with longevity with the current one either. If there was such a thing as the perfect fragrance that ticks all the boxes then Fahrenheit would be it.

I'd just like to know if the delicious honey suckle accord is still in the new version? I'll sacrifice myself to the gasoline effect just to experience that beautiful honey suckle again once my very low vintage bottle is empty.

Classic stuff named after a somewhat outdated temperature scale.

Where is that wet dog chewing on bandaids? -I need a spritz!

A timeless masterpiece and my no.1 favourite fragrance. Excellent sillage and longevity.

I prefer Aqua Fahrenheit to the original due to it's freshness. Absolute is on the opposite end and is very dark. The original is still fresh, but you'll get more of the gasoline accord along with the honeysuckle.

Sorry to be Mr. negative but I have issues with this frag. I'm sort of partial to the petrol note, it reminds me of striking a zippo lighter but the other notes, soggy melon or honeysuckle or whatever can turn my stomach, at least in the present incarnation.

It smells like petrol and honey. soaked on Dean Winchester leather jacket, with a bit of his Impala motor oil added

I don't really have longevity problem on skin, but yes on clothes.

This!

I easily get 8 hours from Fahrenheit. Fahrenheit is a head-turner for sure. Excellent stuff.

I hardly ever get Longevity from frags, but Fahrenheit lasts all day and smells amazing!!
It lasts all day for me. Even can smell it well into the next day and beyond on my shirt. You may also want to play with how many sprays and spray locations. I usually do three sprays under the shirt and one on the neck. Love that stuff!
