Is it possible to treat wounds and burns without antibiotics and NOT get a bacterial infection?

I've been using honey on surface wounds for years as I am allergic to various antibiotics.

One year back I cut one finger straight to the bone. I put some isopropyl on it and a big plaster. It never came into my mind it would make sense taking an antibiotic remedy. The last time I had to take one it twenty years back.
I find the alacrity when it comes to prescribing and taking this drug irresponsible. In future we will encounter some serious problems due to the antibiotics abuse of the past decades.

Some 3rd world countries would tell you to just urinate on the cut. I think I would prefer honey or sugar paste personally.
