Ubar for me today...and trying to picture in my head if i would love Beloved?? is it only resinous , animalic, dark scent? is there colour for that scent?

Ubar is like light purple to me, Gold is like red/brown combination interfereing in layers in a circular motion and Dia is white, and Homage is yellow and then red in the drydown

Happy birthday to Mr Southerngardens!

SotD is glowing Azemour Les Orangers, in a cold, drizzling grey day.

Have a nice afternoon

Happiest of birthdays to Southerngardens: you make a very nice addition to our board, staying interested and honest at that. Your enthusiasm is catching, really.

PL
, no, not excema, I am just very dry and alcohol-based Purell we have to wear regularly because of the flu at the care center, eats my skin alive. Same with shades, I am sure. I also wear Udder Balm, it works for me.

Hermes Rouge. Having a morning off, will go sort my samples. Have to re-try some, others will go in the "to leave" box.

Good morning. Sunny and freezing cold today.

Happy Birthday, Southerngardens!! I hope you have a very special day!

Wearing Oscar de la Renta Oscar this morning.

Have a great day, everyone!

Started the day in NR for her EDT and EDP; then moved onto Pacifica French Lilac, and now bathing in L'Artisan Vanille Absolument (really should have got the 100ml). Happy birthday, Southerngardens!

Happy Birthday, Southerngardens!

Yes, Twolf, udder balm is fantastic! Glad you don't have the nasty excema; dry skin is difficult enough. My hands were in water and hand sanitizer all day long when I worked and now that I don't, it seems they still are. I sympathize my dear.

I'm in Elixir Lumiere Noire today. Hugs to all!

lucasai - I love that Jo Malone scent. I usually avoid lactonic/milky scents but that one just conveys the smell of warm sweet milk perfectly, doesn't it?
Happy Birthday southerngardens! - I must agree with TWolf, you've made a nice impression here on Basenotes - a wonderful new addition to this fragrant bunch. Hope to see you around for a while.

I woke up craving the smell of this, so I just had to wear it:

Happy Birthday southerngardens!! Enjoy your special day!

House twins with Mrs. E today, as I am in Ava Luxe No. 23, a little woody gem.

Good morning all! I'm wearing Fico di Amalfi.

Daughter is sick with a cold. It's just as well she is off from school today. I've got a pot of chicken soup cooking.

Re: dry hands, I get them too! Cooking, dishes, laundry...I'm always washing my hands. I've used many good creams over the years but will mention one that I bought in September at an area craft fair, which I like enough that I am going to call to re-order a jar now that I am running low. It's a little jar (1/2 ounce I think) but a little goes a long way and it only cost $5. I put it on my hands before bed each night.

Here is an article about the couple who make and sell the cream, with their phone number:

The Honeycomb Hand Cream comes in various scents (I bought Lavender) but these fade fast and soon you just have the lovely beeswax/lanolin scent. Ingredients are simple: Water, Lanolin, Pure Beeswax, Mineral and Fragrant Oils, Sodium Borate.

Good afternoon! Today I've been wearing Samsara by Guerlain

Very cool pictures, Whitefluffy! Thanks so much for posting them.

Wearing Ava Luxe Madeline this afternoon. I really like this one, which is so strange because when I first got it in 2010, I almost gave it away. It was harsh and wasn't what I expected. I don't know what happened to it in the last 2 years, but now it's amazing. I need to change the rating again, it was a 2 for me initially, now it's a 4, a very nice surprise.

Happy Birthday, Southerngardens!

Hugs for Mike, for Twolf, for anyone who needs one.
I wish I could cure all the aches you good folks are suffering with right now--
hands and feet, knees and jaws.
Whitefluffy, thank you for the photos. They took me to a place I've never been.

A second sampling of L'Heure de Nuit. I give it a B+. It's more deserving of the name L'Heure Bleue Délicate, as it's a gentle Bleue rather than a nighttime Bleue. Has someone else already said that?

I'm wearing Etro Ambra today ... still craving amber I guess. My jaw is better, thanks eveyone. Can't believe how rough a little TM joint can make one feel.

Loved the pictures, Whitefluffy! The area is quite beautiful in a sparse, austere way, no?

Happy birthday, southerngardens

Good evening everyone, and very happy birthday to southerngardens

Neil Morris City Rain today, and yesterday his too, the end of the Woodland Strawberry...I let my kids smell it at the end of the day and they were so impressed, they love that one but only after it's had time to develop on the skin. It really is very nice.

Late to the party, but have a wonderful birthday southerngardens!

Been sampling:
Frapin Esprit de Fleurs settled down to a vague skin scent in under two minutes - not bad, lightly powdered floral, like wearing bath powder, good for the office, pretty. Would probably be very versatile;

A Christmas Carol: The Second of Three Spirits by BPAL. It was like walking around in Gingerbread. Acck!

Nice pictures, Whitefluffy. We went there in 2007, enjoyed the trip very much. And no, I am not the one for camping, I sleep like a Princess on a Pea, so we stayed in a motel. Wonderful fragrances, too.

I have changed for the evening: as reminded by someone, it is Royalissime by Henri d'Orleans.
