Boy, there are a lot of people that are giving a lot of fragrances 10/10. Maybe I'm just too picky. Generally my favorite smells don't last long enough to justify a 10, and when they last, their smell doesn't send me into Nirvana.

My top 10 changes frequently. But I will list Ambre Sultan, New York Oud and surprisingly Terre de Hermes. I am bissing something but the lists of those above should be good reading...

Gucci PH II

I yet have to find holy grail or something that I dont want to wash away if I spray it in wrong conditions.

Out of those that I want:

And I will add:

L'Heure Fougueuse IV (Cartier)
Sous le Vent (Guerlain)
Attrape Couer (Guerlain)
Onda & Mito (Vero Kern)
L'Air du Desert Moracain (Andy Tauer)
Santal Noble (MPG)
Tiffany for Men
Eau de Patou
Encens Mythique d'Orient (Guerlain)
Homage Attar (first edition - Amouage)
Ubar (Amouage)
Gold Man (Amouage)
The Guerlain Eaux - esp. Imperiale & du Coq)
Sacrebleu (Vintage - Nicolai)
Odalisque (Vintage - Nicolai)
Une Fleur de Cassie (Ropion / Malle)
Arabie (Lutens)
Insense (Vintage - Givenchy)
Insolence EDP (Guerlain)
Granville (Dior)

That'll do for now. Bound to have missed some. The 'Perfect 10' idea is sorta fun but more and more it has to be qualified with the vintage as things slip away down the EU/IFRA greased ramp to hell. And I guess if I had my say I'd tweak a few ingredients in some of my absolute favourites like Sous le Vent & Santal Noble but what the hell . . . they still soar above most of the stuff out there so why hold back

There are only a very few fragrances that I find daunting, in the sense of being intimidating by their power to take me into a different kind of world. Of course this is all totally personal and subjective.

Miller Harris Vetiver Bourbon
Sycomore
By Kilian Pure Oud

Windsor is a near miss. Blenheim Bouquet is a near miss. I can get lost in a genuine oud on occassion.
But the night is still young. I'm sure they'll be other 10s.

DH, DHI & Aventus. Close to 10 = YSL L'Homme

Armani Eau pour Homme- in the citrus department
Knize Ten- in the leather department
Versace L'Homme- in the citrus & leather department (I do sense both categories of notes, quite well developed in a classy, maturely complex manner, in this particular scent).

Considering it's 10 out of 10, and not just my "favorites" I would have to say none really. I have smelled a lot that I really like and think very highly of but nothing that is perfect or that I would consider to be my holy grail. But to be fair I have only sampled 1/100th of what most of you have.
Sycomore and JXXV

None. But some of the 5-star fragrances in my wardrobe i would rate 9.

For me, a 10/10 perfume combines my pleasure, as a wearer, and the importance of the frag in the recent history of that beautiful vice that we share.
So:
Givenchy Gentlemen
Azzaro PH
Aramis
Davidoff Cool Water
Paco Rabanne PH
Terre d.Hermes
Dior Eau Sauvage
Armani Eau PH

10/10? Tricky. And my choice would be probably be different if you asked me again in a few months. But here's a first pass...

Chanel Égoïste
Czech & Speake No. 88
Creed Original Vetiver
Dior Eau Sauvage
Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum
Guerlain Jicky EdP
Guerlain Vetiver
Penhaligon's Sartorial
YSL Rive Gauche

From my small, humble collection, I'd rate the following 10/10: Egoiste by Chanel, Red for Men by Giorgio Beverly Hills, Prada Amber pour Homme Intense, and though many might heartily laugh and vehemently disagree: Stetson by Coty.

3.

DioR Homme Intense
Tobacco Vanille
Aventus
Chanel Coromandel
Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille

I can wear these 2 for the rest of my life and not get sick of it. 10/10
post #112 of 126
A lot of my favorites are close 10's, Aventus is my most versatile fragrance so its a 10+
post #113 of 126
I recently started so I'd say DHI vintage, YSL La Nuit, M7 vintage, and spice bomb (just almost everyone adores it on me) also I got my hands on oud oil and its really good IMO (though burberry london was a 10 for me not so long ago). Going to get my hands on Aventus and Dior Dune in the future Inshahallah so that may count too
post #114 of 126
- Loewe Esencia: Sheer green perfection in a bottle
- MPG: Santal Noble: A sandalwood smell that is very hard to dislike; very well blended sophisticated juice
- Paco Rabanne pour homme (real vintage): Just smell it and you'll know. It's nothing like latest versions
post #115 of 126
Aventus
Noir de Noir
Timbuktu
Tea for Two
Musc Ravageur

Clive Christian No 1 Men - always a 10
Michael for Men (the original formulation) - 10 (actually a little lower, but for the price it's a perfect 10)
Creed Aventus - sometimes a 10, but most of the time a 9
post #118 of 126
Fahrenheit 10/10
