The thread about peppery fragrances made me wonder about how certain notes might get certain kinds of feedback. I tend to think of positive feedback in two ways. There's like feedback, and there's lusty feedback. Citrus fragrances get me generic "You smell nice" compliments. Sometimes they're even really enthusiastic ("Ooh, I love that! What cologne are you wearing?") but they're never the sort of lusty feedback I get when wearing a fragrance with a strong amber base.
