woman's perfume that smells just as good on men

Thread Starter
A woman's perfume that smells just as good on a man at a reasonable price, $150 or less.
Except for minor differences in skin chemistry, all perfumes smell basically the same on everyone who wears them. Therefore if it smells good on a woman, it will smell the same, more or less, on a man.

In other words, all of them.

Perhaps I misunderstood the question.

If you are asking which fragrances marketed to women could be interchangeably marketed successfully to men, the list is slightly shorter. We could make some better suggestions if we learn what sorts of notes or accords or styles you like on women or men.

Women smell of onions/grapefruit, men smell more like smelly cheese, so they say.

Can't think of any.

I am rocking Coromandel at this moment and has not gotten any compliments though I know I smell good. Does it count?

Surely this topic has been done to death many times before. Fragrance has no gender; if you like it, wear it.

Women's perfume would be too sweet on me.

Caron's Tabac Blond
Guerlain's Vol de Nuit

Neither of them are too sweet and a man could wear them with no difficulty.

Currently, I can think of Jasmin Noir by Buvlgari and of Chanel No. 19 (the latter, in almost any given concentration).

Seems like there's a distinct lack of imagination going on here fellow basenoters.

I started the thread

What female scents are even deadlier on the male?

http://www.basenotes.net/threads/317...er-on-the-male

and it received nearly 500 recommendations from this site and other sources.

I'm working my way through the recommendations - giving you the chance to decide which I wear next and sharing my findings.

I'd really welcome any more suggestions and am also republishing the whole list in sections for information.

Come join the fun!

Yes. Do check out Assiduosity's thread.

Somehow I get the feeling OP just wants some recommendations. Sure, we can give a long list but ultimately it all depends on what OP actually finds 'good-smelling'.

Ooops.

Apologies - just re-read my post. My intention wasn't to suggest OP had a lack of imagination - just that I felt we could do better by way of suggestions - and have done, hence suggesting the thread.

Sorry for sounding unintentionally dismissive.
