Morning everyone. What DOES one wear for a day's stripping.....wallpaper that is! Tsk Tsk. Hmmm. Actually some of my kindly donated sample of Coup De Fouet so I can enjoy it wafting beautifully around me!

Have a great day all.

I'm marinating in the sublime Jicky Extrait. Can anything rival Jicky in the end?

Morning all!

I'm off to the Vietnam embassy to apply for a tourist visa.

There's only one scent I could be wearing today, and I am: Robert Piguet Visa!

Morning All,

Enjoy your stripping, Foustie !

Tabac Blond extrait.

Have a good hump-day, everyone.

You smell wonderful Scentsucker - I adore Visa!
Picturing Foustie stripping in Coup de Fouet (or should that be Foustie?)
At least it will keep you warm!

I am cold and snowed-in wearing Bulgari Omnia, whilst I feed the birds, clear the
drive and tackle a mountain of washing.

Morning, all!

l have a day off today, with a blissful day of pottering ahead of me. l'm sampling Tauer's lncense Rose. The snow is almost gone, but it's still very cold & grey.

You guys: one is marinating, one is stripping, one is tackling the mountain, one is pottering (whatever it is? Like Demi Moore in Ghost?), and one is applying for a visa to an impossible destination!

I am at a 9K mark today. Not like I contribute a lot -- I mostly complain and b*tch, and perhaps need two Johnson and Johnson's bandaids to crisscross over my mouth (or, fingers?). Oh well.... I also pull a Houdini disappearing act -- sorry, it is my silly life. Yeah right. Thanks for being here for me.

Mr.T is doing better, his Doctor called last night arranging for a pickup day sometime later next week -- January 31, fingers crossed. I am off work today, will be baking a cake for a friend who had lost a relative, something comforting with caramel. Or, honey, possibly.

One of the lesser known jasmines by Francis Kurkdjian -- but sweet and rich -- Ungaro Femme 2007 (did you know Ungaro fragrances are being produced under Salvatore Ferragamo creative license since 1996?), it is shown in the Directory but the year is wrong.

Wolfie, glad to read the positive update on Mr T's progress. Continued best wishes to him, and big congrats on your posting milestone!

Take care, everyone.

Thanks for the link G, that made me chuckle!

Congrats Twolf on your 9,000 posts! And l'm glad things are looking up for Mr T. "Pottering" just means getting a few little jobs done around the house, with no hurry, pressure or deadlines. Lovely.

Woo-hoo Twolf-- 9000 posts!
I'm also very glad to read that Mr. T will be soon returning home and the ordeal over.

My daughter and husband both have colds; so far I'm healthy and hope to stay that way! I absolutely don't want to be passing a cold along to my mother.

I'm wearing L'Ombre Dans L'Eau.

Good morning, everyone!

Mardi Gras is under way here and I'm feeling a bit festive myself, so Ysatis de Givenchy it is, body cream and three drops of parfum ...no spritz today.

(((Wolfie))) - so glad to know Mr.T will be home with you soon ...thank goodness! Y'all take good care of each other ...he's lucky to have you, and he makes you laugh, I know. And congratulations on another big ol' impressive milestone - thanks for still being here.

I knew what this was as it's very close to what I do, which is "putter." Puttering around the kitchen or the garden ...and my mother putters too, but my grandmother used to "tootle" as well as "putter" ...but there really can't be much of a difference. I'm sure we're all really "pottering."

Hello all!

As a non native English speaker I thank you for all these useful verbs and expressions I'm learning!

SotD is Cuir Ottoman.

Have a nice afternoon.

Hi all! Tonight I'm in Kenzo Amour Indian Holi, a LE flanker of Amour from few years ago. Might get a full bottle of this, as I've seen a few bottles hanging around at discounters near me.

Fun thread today I wish I were "puttering" around today, but instead busy at work.
The T family gets a big ole hug from me!!!!
I am wearing Hermes Hiris today.

Seems like everyone's in a 'punchy' mood today. (giggle)

Woke up with the need to smell like wood. Seriously. I imagine this sort of thing doesn't happen to non-Basenoters, but it happens to me all the time. And, of course, I spent about 10 minutes in front of my bottles/decants/samples just deciding what type of wood scent I wanted to wear. Exasperating. But effective...since it forced me to wear something I hardly ever wear...

Zagorsk (Series 3: Incense) by Comme des Garcons

I am reading a wonderful novel, 'The Magician King' by Lev Grossman. There are forest scenes, where if I imagined a smell to scent that particular scene, it would be Zagorsk. The stages of wood on this are unique: pine, resins, white smoke, incense. I usually douse myself in it, so it sticks, and now I'm enjoying the wonderful gentle whiffs at my office desk. Definitely 'magical'.

Back to the eye surgeon this afternoon ... and this time I have the needed new insurance cards. There better not be any more problems! I'm wearing Angel Liqueur de Parfum today.

Good news about Mr T!

hugs to all ...

Going to visit my dentist today - can't wait. He always wears Aramis the day I come in, and he smells divine in it (it's the fragrance, not him). I've been trying to decide what to wear for reciprocation, and am going to wear a new sample I like, Bottega Veneta. I was trying to think of something that might complement his Aramis, so we don't clash when he's got his wrist in my nose.
Yep, basenotes is acting really weird today.

Good luck shades with your eye appointment, & to flathorn at the dentist.

SOTE is Sables.
Healing vibes to shades and flathorn, you need them to feel better.

Changed into Caron Acaciosa this PM. Must be L.'s influence/puttering.
Hello again -

I'm in L'Arte di Gucci this afternoon.

Been in a dreadful mood today, not sure why. I even indulged in chemical warfare against silly DH; one or too many sprays of Fracas (the one scent he cannot stand). But Karma is a fast acting bitch sometimes - now I feel sick to my stomach myself...gah!!

Glad to see dear Wolfie back!

I had a very strange craving for fruit today. Which rarely happens. Which is why I have so few fruity fragrances. Visa wasn't quite fruity enough, so I spritzed myself silly in Euphoria.

I guess I know what my next round of sampling will include ...

Some thread today! Very happy news about Mr. Twolf; he must be so ready to have his honey take care of him. Hospital staff does their best but nothing competes with a loved one's care. I know you'll be good medicine for him, Twolfie.

Have my fingers crossed that all went well for shades and flathorn!

I'm in Coromandel for the evening. Good-night hugs to all!
