iodine! We are having the same weather here in Cleveland Ohio. Getting ready for work today in an elementary school, so I'm going with an unobtrusive classic from my wardrobe, vintage Weil Antilope EdT.

Hello everyone. Hello Paradeiserl!

Well finished work at 21:00 last night. Start again at 23:00 tonight and in between I'll have to go to do some work at the new house, so it's full steam ahead! I'll be needing frequent applications of a good hard working Cologne. The delightful SMN Acqua Di Sicilia will do nicely!

Good morning, the sun is rising over the new world and today wearing the body shop Dreams Unlimited. Chile peppers, mmm. Me gustan pimientos. generally speaking, I'll throw a jalapeno into d*mn near anything, and throwing one into this perfume really does make it work for me.

Hi gang, missed you over the weekend! Congrats to Larimar on 4000 insightful, fun, intelligent and hilarious posts! And I missed congratulating Twolf last week on her huge posting milestone, what with all the site flakiness. You both do much to make this the wonderful place it is!

Amouage Gold for me today. Hugs to all!

A solitary snowflake for Jon. We, too, like iodine and jujy, have our should-be snow turning into rain.

While we did have some new white stuff on the ground yesterday evening, I went out and fetched the cold ingredient for a Scotch & Snow.

Plaisir, I almost applied a sample of Gardénia Pétale this morning because florals sweep me off my feet, but having read another thread's posts by Larimar and Hedonist, instead sprayed on En Avion extrait. It's outside my normal comfort zone, but my comfort zone has relaxed and expanded with the ever-lessening of life's stresses. I can't tell you, fragrant friends, how wonderful it is to arrive at a stage where it doesn't feel like life is demanding more of me than I'm prepared to give, that I have sufficient creative outlets to permit the mind to frolic, that I have purpose to my activities and little fear of unpleasant surprises. A spicier scent like En Avion can be observed for its artistry, even as its heat burns a little in my child-like nasal receptors.

Wishing all a low-stress week.

I was almost scent twins with you this morning, Evangeline, but I went with Coco edp instead, finishing up an old decant. This was never my style, and I didn't wear it back in the day, but it is such a beautiful fragrance I can't stop sniffing myself this morning. I always, when smelling this, hear ivory and cinnabar bangles sliding together on an arm, hear dice clicking together in a cup being shaken. For some reason its resiny quality evokes aural imagery.

Quarry, I'm glad things are in balance and that you are at peace. Very glad. xo

It's a hot and sunny beautiful day here, wind is blowing with a slight stiffness to the air - absolutely glorious. I was in a sh*tty mood yesterday (thus my absence) but things turned around I am greeting the day with positive thoughts, gratitude and hope. See how things turn around, sometimes?

I rarely wear this to work, but today I needed a little 'comfort' to go along with me throughout the day...and this stuff works like a charm:

Shalimar vintage Eau de Cologne layered with vintage Extrait/Parfum + Body Cream + Body Powder + Habit Rouge deodorant

I smell friggin gorgeous, my friends...GOR-GEOUS!

Lilybelle - nice to see you posting more regularly now, you were missed ((hugs))
Momma Quarry - a glass has been raised to your 'comfort zone' ((hugs))
Larimar - here's to 4,000 more posts! ((hugs))

Anyone need any hugs?

Good morning!

We've warmed up finally, it's 27F and snowing, I'm hoping we've seen the last of the sub zero temps.

Congratulations, Larimar, on your posting milestone, I always enjoy reading your posts!

Happy (late) Anniversary to the Quarry's, I hope you had a lovely day.

Wearing Pierre Balmain Jolie Madame this morning.

Wishing everyone a great day.

Thank you for the hug, Mike, and a big (((hug))) back. And you DO smell friggin' GORGEOUS!!

I've been waiting for the temperatures to warm up, so I could wear this again. Chamade, edc for me. A hands down favorite of mine.

Waves to Evangeline!

It's snowing here but it's not supposed to amount to much more than a messy PM commute.

I transferred the contents of my Enchanted Forest sample to an atomizer and sprayed it solely over clothing (I had previously decided I liked it more on paper than on skin.) Oh, no-- no way! The musk and amber combined with the blackcurrant in a way that didn't work at all for me. Off came the clothes and down the laundry chute right away. Hubby can try the sample next.

And now I'm in L'Artisan Fleur d'Oranger and considerably happier.

About my fragrance, anyway. I see clicking on "New Posts" is bringing up the Database Error notice.

Hello, everyone!

It's been warm here, but extremely windy and extremely dry. Dreaming of cool, serene green meadows in PdN Le Temps d'Une Fete

Wishing everyone to have a wonderful day!

Good Morning!

Jon, I'm sending wishes for snow your way.
Mike, you do smell gor-geous! I'll take a hug just for that!
Quarry, I'm very happy for you! Wonderful.
Larimar, congratulations!!! Keep 'em coming...
lilybelle, love your aural imagery of Coco edp.

Goodness, it's so very good to see everyone. I really need to try to be here more often.

Still scentless and off to work out soon, but have already chosen Chanel Bois des Isles for this afternoon.

I'm testing Naomi Goodsir Cuir Velours today. This started out wonderfully; a very rich, velvety leather with just tiny hints of the immortelle and tobacco peeking through. But, it has suddenly turned waaay powder-y. Not that I have anything against powder-y ... it's just not working for me too well.

Notes: leather, tobacco, rum, cistus labdanum, incense, immortelle

Happy Monday everyone!

SOTE is L'artisan mimosa pour moi. It's being discontinued but I have enough for my needs.

Quarry - Being able to enjoy the fruits of your labor is a wonderful place to be. So funny instead of taking time to smell the roses, you're taking time to smell your wrist...

Whitefluffy - That picture is stunning - it's like medicine. About this time of the year, when I haven't seen green for a while, that is the thing I start craving. Do you know where it was taken?

Speaking of medicinals - I could still smell the Black Musk from yesterday when I woke up this morning.

Weather is back to normal here also - 6 below F, but it's supposed to warm up again in a few days The warm-ups that hammer Southcentral AK from time to time in winter are called the Pineapple Express because they come straight up from Hawaii, bringing warm, moist air. On the satellite view it looks like a long white pipeline headed straight for us.

Seeing my fragrance-aholic dentist today. I hope he's wearing his Aramis. I'm going to surprise him and wear an oud, probably Creed's Royal Oud, a fairly mannered one. He's only been exposed to the perfume counter at Nordstrom's and Penney's.

Doing a happy dance!

Wearing my new Rive Gauche vintage parfum. The bottle was still sealed with the little plastic plug.

Oh, it smells so good!

Congratulations on the posting milestones to Twolf and Larimar!

And a belated Happy Anniversary to Quarry and Mr. Q

I tried all weekend to get on and was thwarted every darn time. GAH!

Today looks more like the Pacific Northwest (gray, damp, and foggy but not too cold) than the Great Plains in January. I don't have much to complain about, though, given the rather nice temperatures, but it would be nice to get actual *rain* instead of mist. Sigh.

I'm enjoying the comfort of Ava Luxe No. 23. I found myself wanting some florals with my sandalwood this morning.

lt has indeed turned wet & very windy again here today. This weather puts me in the mood for something dark & witchy, & so my SOTE is vintage Magie Noire. Mwahhahahahaaaaa!

Hey y'all -

I'm now in Annick Goutal's Grand Amour, which has a pollen-y accord that reminds me very much of Chamade, and I believe the hyacinth is responsible for that ...no doubt about it, I'm so ready for spring.

Well, Coco is always a great choice - you smell utterly divine!

Hi RHM! You smell perfectly gorgeous too, but you don't need me to tell you so.

I found it on Google. According to the website it's a Crandall Valley in Wyoming. I think, I understand why you liked it, isn't it a little bit like Alaska in the summer? One of these days my husband and I would really love to visit, what a beautiful place you live in .

SOTE Enchanted Forest, I believe it's the same one that went down 30 Roses's laundry chute earlier today .

Wyoming! Surprise, but fulfils the green craving very well. So funny - I'd love to visit New Mexico someday, actually have relatives there. Thanks for heads up on photo!

Had a great workout at the gym after work, now watching a favorite movie and wearing Bal a Versailles.

DId not sleep at home last night -- too slippery to walk and stay for some miserable 7 hours and then come back -- have not taken a bath and wore yesterday's clothes. Oh well.... Came home finally and am enjoying the quiet.

JR, sort of creepy is your therapeutical -- if I see big green bugs like this, I might shriek.

Wore YSL's Yvresse today. Can still smell it, lovely. Glad to have Monday over with.
