Smoky wood, camphorous mint, and some spice. The resemblance to Tiger Balm is apparent but Esprit du Tigre is softer, smoother, and altogether more wearable. However, it's not something that I...
The vintage version:
The top note is a pleasant floral-citrus mix with a bit of neroli, that in the drydown adds lavender and later a woody notes. Towards the end a light and not unpleasant...
My ocean scents are this, erolfa and sel marine. Of the 3 this smells the most like the ocean. Imagine you are walking along a rustic beach on a cloudy cool day, and the sea smashes against the...
I didn't like this scent at first. I found it amateurish and a bit redundant. I gave my sample away to a buddy that's a womanizer. End of story.
I walk into Scent Bar looking for Wode by...
The lemony opening reminds me of old people. - it's not unpleasant and smells fresh and clean but I just can't past the smell of the beige bowls club brigade. After a while the vetiver comes...
Hi Scentsucker - I had your experience two days ago of my skin devouring fragrances. I understand how you feel now
I'm still craving earth and green, which I usually do this time of year. AbdesSalaam Legni Pregiati is answering that call well. It's a conifer but much more - rough bark, roots, moist musty earth. It's much like sitting on the ground leaning against a black spruce. Quite realistic and evocative.
Another day of severe windchill and blowing snow, not a very nice
combination. The prediction for 11pm tonight is -28F with -45F wind chills.
Next week is suppose to be better, I sure hope it is.
Good afternoon my lovely smelling scent buddies! Today, I'm wearing another ByKilian, Amber Oud. I'm actually loving it, but it's crazy expensive. I don't know if I love it $400 worth. I read the thread on it and will experiment with a few that people thought were very similar. I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows something that smells very similar. It's just so warm and comforting in this ridiculously cold, icy, snowy weather.
At last - this is enough to try the patience of a saint (and I'm not exactly renowned for mine). Gave up trying to post altogether until now, and guess one or two others probably did the same. Glad to see a few of us eventually made it despite the accursed gremlins .
