Hello everyone! I think this is the first time I've ever begun a SOTD thread here on BN! Very glad to be starting us off.

It's afternoon already, & l'm in Sepia by Aftelier, from a sample. l'm getting... horse dung! Good thing l don't have to go anywhere today.

Wow, it's unusual for there not to be a thread up already! I assume that means the site wasn't working very well during the night.

We've had a strong wind all night long, gusts up to 70 mph, but fortunately we haven't lost power.

SotD is Fleur de Thé Rose Bulgare for me.

Looks like several of us posted at the same time today! Hopefully the mods will merge them all?

Sepia lasted only three hours on me, so now l'm sampling Cepes & Tuberose. Very weird.

When I posted, none of the other SotD threads were visible yet. Then they all loaded around the same time.

I'm in Fleur de Thé Rose Bulgare today. We had high wind last night into this morning (gusts to 70 mph) but it has calmed down at last.

I'm in Amouage memoir woman. Very nice indeed but, as usual, I can't get more than 4-5 hours longevity out of any scent.

Hi Scentsucker - I had your experience two days ago of my skin devouring fragrances. I understand how you feel now

I'm still craving earth and green, which I usually do this time of year. AbdesSalaam Legni Pregiati is answering that call well. It's a conifer but much more - rough bark, roots, moist musty earth. It's much like sitting on the ground leaning against a black spruce. Quite realistic and evocative.

Another day of severe windchill and blowing snow, not a very nice
combination. The prediction for 11pm tonight is -28F with -45F wind chills.
Next week is suppose to be better, I sure hope it is.

This afternoon I'm wearing Dior Dune.

Good afternoon my lovely smelling scent buddies! Today, I'm wearing another ByKilian, Amber Oud. I'm actually loving it, but it's crazy expensive. I don't know if I love it $400 worth. I read the thread on it and will experiment with a few that people thought were very similar. I'd be interested to hear if anyone knows something that smells very similar. It's just so warm and comforting in this ridiculously cold, icy, snowy weather.

At last - this is enough to try the patience of a saint (and I'm not exactly renowned for mine). Gave up trying to post altogether until now, and guess one or two others probably did the same. Glad to see a few of us eventually made it despite the accursed gremlins .
