We're back!

Let's see, today's synchronized Friday is:

"The oldest fragrance in your collection (date of purchase or date of release)"

For me that is Muguet des Bois, just because I owned it before any of my other fragrances, since age 13.

The oldest fragrance in my collection:

A bottle from ebay of 'Love's Deep Earthy Musk', half-used. I wore this in the '70's. It's gone a little flat, though not bad, and still has the smooth, light, chypre musk note I used to love.

I should be wearing a precious drop of 1930s L'Heure Bleue but I'm actually wearing Gorilla Karma which smells sufficiently medicinally like embrocation to make me feel like I've had a sports massage on my poorly hip.

Oh ... wha ...Hello! I missed you all.

Thanks for the resuscitation, Grant. And good luck diagnosing the source of our problems.

The first fragrance I learned to love and it remains a favorite, having emptied more than one bottle: Guerlain's 2003 limited edition, With Love.

Hello everyone!

House twins with Jon in Guerlain Nuit d'Amour. Pretty pink pepper and rose, what's not to love? If only it was a bit more loud...

Also, I got a package from a very generous Basenoter yesterday and among the samples I found Lyric woman by Amouage. I tried it a long time ago and while not falling in love with it I appreciated the quality and density of the "dusty rose." However, when smelling it again I didn't recognize it at all. It is rose, but very watery without a hint of dust...Did I miss something? Did Amouage reformulate Lyric woman?

Have a wonderful Friday everyone!

Hello everyone, so nice to be back!

I am out of sync. I decided to make a conscious effort to choose more widely among my collection. To that end, today's pick is Penhaligon's Endymion, a spicy oriental with accents of aromatic freshness. Wonderful stuff.

Wish you all a lovely Friday.

Hello,

Its UUUU like Ubar for me:-) , to be in synch today i should have worn Dia extrait, but i have noticed my nose is sensitive to synthetic musks, and it starts beein kind of soar note after few hours......so i avoid it unfortunately....

And Montale Cuir....as a coat fragrance am still in love with this combo:-)

And tried some Samsara for the first time, i did not know this is jasmine scent! Loved it but then it had some terrible metalic note that was like yilang yilang but 10 times stronger that i had to wash it off, i imagined its 100 % synthetic...whish i knew if the old Samsara is 30% better?

And i wore some Vanilia:-) oh today i loved it:-)

Iivanita, have you tried Comme des Garcons incense Jaisalmer? I find some similarity between V's top notes and J's overall scent.

Luckily, I had taken a peek at my wardrobe yesterday to decide on a fragrance for today's synch ... I was going by issue dates and assumed Shalimar would be my oldest. But no, it would be Habanita from 1921! It is not one I wear to work usually, but I've enjoyed very much today.

So glad it is Friday! Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
