Hey guys !
im on a tight budget and have money for only one more this buying spree.
now i want to get pure malt, but i dont mind waiting if its going to be regularly avaliable.
so what do you guys think, should i buy it now and not take my chances or do you feel pure malt will be regularly avaliable even through the official sources ?

It is available now at the Mugler store for $88 postpaid. It seems unlikely that it will be available indefinitely, so if you really must have it, you are unlikely to see a much better price.

Thierry Mugler's website is the best (and cheapest) place to buy their exclusive "Pure" line of fragrances, but get them while you can because it is very limited.

It's a decent investment because there'll always be people willing to buy it if you're not keen, but I didn't think it was such a great fragrance. The price is fantastic, but all I got from PM is A*Men with some of the harsher notes taken away. If you can, it might be worth getting a 1ml sample before you buy.

Also, I think Pure Havane is the best from that line. Pretty much completely deviates from the A*Men format.

Thanks a lot guys !
i think i'll go ahead and buy it
but just out of curiousity, is anybody aware that when apporximately will it be discontinued ?
If you really like it, then go for it. The official website says it is "Limited edition", but nobody really knows. It's been almost a year now when they re-released the "discontinued" Pure Havane, but it is still available from their website.

Well it was only a limited release to begin with, so discontinuation is really out of the question. They've brought it back by popular demand, so it could be gone again very soon. Or it could be back full time.

If only the Mugler website delivered internationally

It says on the website that it's limited edition yet again.

Now with all of the hype surrounding it + people who didn't get a chance to buy it at it's regular price + people buying 2, 3, 4 or more bottles, you'd think Mugler's reserves of Pure Malt would already be depleted.

They must have produced 10,000+ bottles.

Pure Malt has a habit of reappearing every year or so as a "limited" release. Just when everybody thinks it will no longer be available, Mugler announces another limited run of it. I'm a bit of a hippocrit though, because I purchased a backup bottle just in case. Not to mention that the price seems to go a little with every re-release.

I'd just get it to get it over with. Why wait?

Is there any way I could order it, if they don't deliver to my country ?

I actually like A Taste of Fragrance (chili pepper one) more than both Pure Malt and Pure Havane. Just my opinion though. I think the chili pepper really heightens the sweetness of the chocolate and caramel. It's just plain good stuff!!!!

I am not a fan. I would wait and try something else.

Its amazing, and I dont say amazing about alot of fragrances. Honestly it feels like a niche IMO. It does have the same structure as A*men but it absolutely has the whiskey soaked berry accord, and I detect it througout the life of the fragrance on my skin. Longevity and projection is phenomenal. It is no longer available on the TM site but it can still be had at a decent price from the basenotes marketplace as well as a few ebay sellers.
