Hello all,

Newbie here.

Anyways, I was wondering.. my absolute favorite fragrances (thus far) are Drakkar and Bvlgari Black.

I also believe i like fahrenheit by christian dior.

What else would I like based on these??.. I haven't smelled the previous too too much, but I think I like it as much as the first two.

The first two I absolutely love for sure!!!

Josh

P.S. - are there any imitation brands of bvlgari black out there??

Bvlgari Black is a unique fragrance. If you like the burned rubber smell in the opening, you might find it hard to find too many similar to it. If you like the vanilla, then there are a million vanilla-heavy fragrances to choose from. Rochas man, Pi by Givenchy, Animale Animale, so on and so forth.

Is drakkar vanilla?

Welcome!

Drakkar is a type of perfume called fougere; fougere mix some fresh aromatic top material (like lavender) with smoother, slightly sweeter and dry base (coumarin or the like) - not much vanilla usually. Drakkar noir is probably the butchest example in the genre; another easy to find an not expensive fougere is Azzaro pour homme (which is more fresh and herbal especially in the top). Then there's also YSL Kouros (the regular Kouros, not Kouros fraicheur), which is however even more assertive, with a dirty musky note which to some is overwhelming.

As others have said, the rubber note of Bulgari Black is quite unique, at least in mainstream perfumery. Given your liking for these two, another one I'd suggest is Chanel Antaeus. Not that it smells like any of the two, but it does have a very deep masculine vibe.

Spicebomb reminds me a lot of Bulgari Black in the drydown. You can pick up free samples at Nordstrom.
Fahrenheit is a leather, so I would recommend Tom Ford Tuscan Leather.
Drakkar reminds me of Globe

How about Van Cleef's Midnight in Paris. Very similar to Bulgari Black. If you like the general feel of Black you'll probably really like MiP. If you like the weirdness of Black, you might think of MiP as not interesting enough. Still, worth a sniff.
