What 3 Ingredients, essences, or notes do you
LOVE so much you would buy blindly based on their reported primary presence
& what 3 do you HATE or despise so immensely you'll them avoid at irrational measures?

LOVE:
1. Licorice/Anise - (the notes that first seduced me!)
2. Vetiver
3. OUD/agarwood

Hate:
1. Coffee
2. Gardenia
3. Cherry

I have yet to find an ingredient that I dislike. I think it is more how the note is used(amount, balance, interplay with other notes), rather than the note itself.

Love: any form of citrus, leathery notes, chypre notes

Hate: maybe cumin, excessive amounts of cinnamon (both of these spicy notes being still OK for my nose in small quantities), apple (apart from, again moderate, apple notes occasionally and subtly sensed among many other notes of a scent).

Pretty much if I see that in the notes or many descriptions, there's no way I'll like the frag. With most other notes, my opinions may shift based on the composition.

I'm at work so I can't take the time to list 3 love/ 3 hate, but I will say that cumin in a fragrance smells like 40 year-old fat man armpits. I loathe it. I don't put the stuff in my food, why would I want to smell like it?
