Creed: Summer Fragrances For Men.

Thread Starter
Sorry to start another one of "those" threads.

Next time I visit Creed I shall be wanting to test the suitable summer fragrances for men.

I have already worked out that 2 of those should be Millesime Imperial and Virgin Island Water.

Please omit SMW, I have a tester already and its not to my liking.

Anything else to add to that list would be much appreciated.

Regards

DMA

Original Vetiver

Aventus and Green Irish Tweed. They can be worn all year round, and they especially do well in the summer.

Sorry ND i failed to mention I do already have Aventus.

I think its a great scent, but in warm weather I think id be more inclined to wear it as a going out at night scent, really looking for casual wear/lazy days.

Im also in the UK, so maybe are summers (or lack of them) would be something to take into consideration also.

Thank you everyone for your help.

IMO, the best summer Creeds are:
Jardin d'Amalfi
Original Cologne
Bois de Cedrat
GIT
Neroli Sauvage
Original Vetiver
Windsor
Royal Scottish Lavender
VIW (which you already mentioned)

More like sitting oceanside during a beautiful sunset with a warm breeze in your face, but close enough.

I have noticed that appears to be a theme for Creed.

Having tried SMW and GIT recentley, they are instantly recognisable due to the copycat versions that flooded the market during there time.

I guess in some respects that could be viewed as a positive thing, that they appear to set trends, but id also be inclined to believe that some of there fragrances maybe smell dated, due to the association of that style of scent from a specific era.

Well said, SirSmells. I guess there's no accounting for taste!

I have tested Erolfa twice and the only thing I can say is it just seemed "off." Was not impressed at all. MI is already on your list. So I'd go GIT.

I feel Original Vetiver is extremely underrated, and not just for a Creed.

From the previous suggestions, I particularly second GIT and OV, though most scents mentioned above could work very well for summer wear.
