Got my hands on Gucci Envy today...

I thought I got my hands on Gucci Envy for Men a couple weeks ago, but it turned out to be a sad and pathetic fake. Today I got my real hands on one and it smells amazing. I checked the batch code on checkcosmetics and it says it is from Feb. 2009. Would you consider this "vintage"? Regardless, I love the scent. Has a sophisticated smell and I can definitely see myself wearing it quite often. It's always nice to find a new love.

Congrats! Enjoy bro.

Doesn't matter which year it came out as long it is the real thing and you enjoy it.

How much did you pay?

I picked one up today for $65.... 50mL BNIB

Congrats to those that found it for a good price.

I actually traded my 100 mL bottle of Eau Sauvage Parfum for a 100 mL bottle of Envy. Seems to be that you can still find bottles of legit Envy for about $1-1.50 per mL.

I think the vintage Gucci's have gotten a little out of hand, with some asking $200+ for Envy.

I paid for mine (in the past month)

GPH1 100mL $80
GPH2 100mL $57
Envy 50mL $65

Congrats!
I think it worths the trade!
Enjoy...

I too found Envy after it was discontinued. Luckily one of my favorite small shos had a partially full tester bottle sitting around that the owner was willing to sell me for next to nothing.

Treasure this stuff.. it is sex in a bottle. I find it to be pretty nice, but I swear, the 2 times I have worn it, women were swooning!

Supposedly, concerning Envy, the lighter green juice is the vintage stuff where the darker green juice is the newer stuff. Hope that helps and I also hope I'm remembering that correctly, lolz.

If you want to find out if it is vintage or not there is a way, actually two. First, the color of the juice is more yellow than turquoise in the vintage. But that's not so easy to tell if you don't have what to compare with. The second and more reliable way is to look at the small round sticker at the bottom of the bottle. It is vintage if the "100ml" in the middle of the sticker is written with very small fonts. The newer release has the number in the center and significantly larger.
Vintage or not, Gucci Envy is a very sad loss which is becoming harder and harder to find.. Enjoy yours and thanks for sharing with us!

It's just the ticket for me from time to time. When I'm in the mood for something rich and very smooth (And gingery).
Glad you found a legit bottle.

Congrats, a great scent! I really hope they still make it, albeit in small amounts.

Envy for Men is a wonderful fragrance, congrats! I have two bottles (50 ml, light green; and 100 ml, darker green), and based on the info posted here, I guess I have both the vintage and the reformulated. Both smell fantastic.

Great and almost classic choice, a very good contemporary fragrance

BOOYASHAKA! This thread inspired me to look a little harder, so I did and turned up a 100ml bottle for 65 bones out the door.

My dad has had this fragrance for years. I never liked it much I thought it was too mature so dismissed it. Thanks to the basenotes hype about it I tried it again this year. I have a new found appreciation for it. It is really beautiful. im lucky to have a bottle.

Do you find the light green has a bit something more magical? I feel like my dark green bottles lack a little something my sample had.

It's a magical scent! During the holidays, while visiting in laws in Louisiana, I actually found a place selling the 3.4oz bottles for $58! I bought two bottles. Sold one in Ebay. It's a great scent. Timeless...

The place has more and I'll be buying out there lot this weekend. I love treasure!

Found it in an outlet mall, I don't recall the name of the shop 'cause it's one of those indy perfume discounters and there's seriously like five of them in the mall. It was the last bottle :/
