Top five warm weather fragrances - Page 2

I know it is not popular at basenotes, but I get a lot of compliments from women when wearing Acqua Di Gio.

This winter I picked up Curve and think it would work in the summer..

Sous Le Vent
Derby
Helmut Lang EDC
Eau De Guerlain
Fiero

If it were up to me, I would do 5 Creeds. I know I'm biased toward Creed, I'll just be honest about it.

But when it comes to designers, I would say:
Versace Eau Fraiche
Armani Acqua di Gio
Chanel Allure Homme Sport
Issey Miyake Sport Edition
Love and Luck by Ed Hardy
Original Vetiver
Millesime Imperial
Neroli Portofino
Green Irish Tweed
Vetiver Tonka
I can't talk about top 5, as dozens come to mind, i would say for instance:
Aramis Havana
Eau d'Orange Verte
Aventus
Azzaro Pour Homme
Bond n9 Wall Street
Green Irish Tweed
Derby
Eau de Rochas
Pioggia Salata and Vetiver de Java il Profvmo
Vintage Vetiver Guerlain et etc

I am thinking that Menthe Freiche is probably going to be a larger sample purchase in the near future to justify what I deem to be an inevitable purchase for the warmer weather. I have owned GIT and while I find it to be a fantastic fragrance, it just doesn't work on my skin. From a citrus, mainly orange based standpoint I have tried Bigarrade Concentree and while I agree that this is a very " orange " scent it is a little to much orange peel and not enough orange IMO. I also dislike the ISO Super E bath that is Terre D'Hermes. I have tried Hermes Eau de Orange Verte in the edt form and it had unbelievably poor longevity. An orange based fragrance that has a decent longevity? Is that asking too much?

I like transparent and none of "the cologne guy" frags.. Only a few i put my nose to give me that feeling. Hermes Jardin line does the trick.. Also i will try to pull off Bois D'argent in warmer weather, but I'm afraid the honey note may be too sweet.

I received my sample Millesime Imperiale and while I like it more than I remembered it isn't worth a large decant or bottle IMO. I also received samples of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche, Orange Sanguine by Atelier Cologne, Dior Homme Sport, Hermes Un Jardin sur le Nil and Mediterranee, Bergamote 22 by Le Labo and Frederic Malle Vetiver Extraordinaire. Blanche lasts a long time on my skin but sadly it doesn't project worth squat. Not only does it not project after an hour it doesn't even leave a scent trail. So, as much as I enjoy the scent it is a definite no-go. Dior Homme Sport is sadly not as good as I remembered. I was really looking at adding this one to my fragrance rotation but it is just too boring IMO. Bergamote 22 is a projection beast for a citrus fragrance. I am not sure how I feel about this one. It is definitely going to require some more sampling. While the two Hermes fragrances definitely are fantastic fragrances I don't think they suit me very well. I get a transparency from them that sounds cliched. There is a watery undertone, not aquatic, watery. I know it has been said about jean Claude Ellena fragrances before but never has it been more accurate then with this line. I din't like Vetiver Extraordinaire, so this mini sample haul just didn't work out. The only fragrance that I am leaning towards picking up is Orange sanguine but I need more sampling. So keep the suggestions coming.

I really want to thank you guys for all of your awesome suggestions. To close out what looks like it will be my summer rotation I picked up a bottle of Eau Savage and Menthe Fraiche. I am still in the process of sampling Orange Sanguine to help me decide if it is FBW. As always, thanks.

I agree. Philosykos smells natural but weird.

For me, in no particular order, it's:

Creed Original Vetiver
Creed Silver Mountain Water
Guerlain Homme l'eau
Dior Homme Sport (newest formulation)
Neroli Portofino
Just bought for cheap Issey Miyake Summer Edition pour homme 2009.
Excellent for hot weather! Like the normal version but a tad lighter without the heavy flowery note that lingers on for 1+ hr. Fresh and long lasting.

Another excellent one is Guerlain Vetiver Sport:
Also lighter than the original, lime added and the tobaccco almost completely left out.

Dior Eau Sauvage
Creed Feuille Verte
Jack Black Signature Blue Mark
PdN New York
Creed Royal Water

I also like any good Vetiver fragrance on hot summer days.

It was about 75 in Chicago today. That's about as hot as I can personally stand it. I hate Chicago summers with a passion.

So to celebrate one of very few 'nice' days, I wore one of my favorites for this sort of temp.

Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza.
Smells absolutely amazing and lasts forever!
Virgin Island Water
Neroli Portifino
Bergamatto Marino
Tommy Bahama Set Sail St. Barts
Millesime Imperial

Heeley Sel Marin
Bvlgari Aqva
Nothing wrong with AdG. Smells dandy, and that's the point.

Lately, for me, I tend to wear:

Warm weather daily at work: Millesime Imperial.
Warm weather on weekends: VIW.
Warm weather on dates: The One, occasionally Neroli Portofino if it's a day event.
Warm weather alternative this year: Eau d'Hadrien.

And sometimes Concentre d'Orange Verte or Chanel Eau de Cologne for a change.
Still working on my top 5 warm weather but here is what I use now.

Aventus
Bleu d Chanel
Guerlain Vetiver
