Good morning all !

Enjoy your day 30 Roses - Happy Birthday to an exemplary and indispensable member of this community

Off work the rest of the week, and have been blessed with glorious weather here today. Into town to visit the flight centre and do some serious planning shortly - we have a BIG trip to finalise for later in the year (one or two will probably guess where this is heading - I'll report back).

SotD is (appropriately and by pure coincidence) Le Labo Rose 31.

Good Morning,

Happy Birthday, 30 Roses ! Many fragrant returns to you.
Jon
- how exciting ! Is the word 'big' a clue here ? Hmmm...

Chergui for me today and tonight, as I'm having dinner with friends after work.

Have a great Thursday, all.

Good morning all, & Many Happy Returns to 30Roses!

l'm not yet scented today, having a lazy start to my days off.
Thanks, people!! I'm going to be spending a chunk of the day with Mom. If she's less confused today than yesterday, I may be able to take her out for lunch, we'll see.
SotD is L'Artisan Fleur d'Oranger.

We're expecting a huge snowstorm tomorrow -- apparently two systems are coming together to form a big one. They're using terms like "high impact event", "blinding conditions" and "thunder snow". A good day to be home, all of us.

I love that cake, Jon!

Happy birthday, 30Roses! I hope your day is as lovely as you are. xxoo Here's some champagne to go with that beautiful cake:

Happy Birthday 30 Roses.

I am wearing Jersey.

Happy Birthday 30R and many more of them. You smell out of this world.

Scentless today as I'm going to try driving for the first time in 3 weeks, TENS machine in situ rather than painkillers or muscle relaxants.

Got some gift cards still left from Xmas and some money I haven't been able to pay in to the bank yet. Might have a little spray of some things whilst I'm out

Hello everyone!

I'm enjoying the radiant aldehydes of vintage Vivre de Molyneux this morning, a perfect foil for the damp and drippy weather we're having ...which I really don't mind so much, especially during Mardi Gras season ...it tends to thin the crowds a bit.

Y'all have a great day!

Happy Birthday 30 Roses! I hope you have a special day, filled with joy and glorious fragrance!

And a happy Fat Thursday to Lucas - enjoy!

Hey Jon - I'll have a guess! Could it be NYC???

Good luck with that Alityke - you take care of yourself, and that hip!

Happy Birthday Ms 30 Roses, she who is caught between the generations, may you be granted the strength you need to do all that and still take care of yourself.

Jailia today. Sunshine smell for our beautiful weather. The sun has risen and the clouds are beautiful; from my office i can see two bridges, the city, the bay, birds, slight mist clinging to the land, it is so pretty. If I had a good camera I would show you all.

So, Mr. Beast, I see you finally got the Cologne version of DH.
Roberto, I love that Rocabar ad
Happy Birthday 30 Roses - I will wear some Creed Fleur de Rose Bulgare tonight, in your honor. ((raises a glass of champagne))

Woke up in the mood to wear this, something I hardly ever wear to the office. I own the vintage Parfum de Toilette, perhaps the spiciest most intense version. Heliotrope for days.

Finally decided on Alien Liqueur de Parfum for today.

Happy Birthday 30 Roses!

It's looking like we're going to get hit with the snowstorm here, by this afternoon and by tomorrow we should have another 6-12" of snow!

I'm all comfortable in my warm sweater and Kiehl's Original Musk. Bought a rollerball of this while I was in Chicago. It's warm and comfortable, but not like "OMG, I can't quit sniffing myself!"

Hey everyone. Happy Birthday to lovely 30 Roses! Enjoy your special day!

Haha , somewhat misleading of me really, I suppose - the "BIG" was only in reference to the journey time involved. We are visiting my sister and are off to New Zealand again !. The only downer being that we have to wait until Dec 14th, but with flight availability (myself, Jenny, parents) rapidly diminishing we needed to sort things ASAP. We will be spending a month with them - Christmas and New Year will be in short sleeves and dosed up with hay fever medication.

My SotE today is from a newly delivered sample and I am literally BLOWN AWAY.

Ramon Monegal Impossible Iris.

Absolutely no dilly-dallying whatsoever, I am logging off and ordering a bottle now, seriously.

Calling the iris brigade Cello, Whitefluffy, PerfumedLady - if you haven't tried this yet rectify the situation as soon as you can.

@Jon, you've forgotten about me. I'm in the iris brigade as well.
No scent today - ashamed to say that in my rush to leave the house this morning I forgot! I expect that's grounds for being drummed out of BN.

Just dropped by to wish 30 Roses a very happy birthday (and thanks for the info on original No 1 yesterday. You're right that they don't appear similar at all. I get no rose in the new version. It's more green than floral to me, it reminds me of Gucci Envy).

Oh yes you are!!!

Jon, well, you did it. I am scent twins with you right now. I almost bought a bottle two days ago as I had 20% discount, but then I came across deep discounted Merrell shoes and out money for Impossible Iris went. Those of you who are familiar with Merrell, probably know that finding few pairs in your size at deep discount is as easy as spotting chupacabra. But Impossible Iris is very near in my future

Happy, happy birthday to 30 Roses! I wanted to take this moment to thank you from the depth of my heart for being one of the most wonderful Basenoters, for all your help and guidance, and of course, for Iris Pallida which (I admit it freely now) was entirely your fault!

Thank goodness I came here before applying scent today! Had no idea what my mood called for but now I know it has to be Creed Fleur de Thé Rose Bulgare, otherwise known as the 30 Roses rose! I am very stingy with my 1 oz. bottle of this, keeping it for special occasion wear only. Today most definitely qualifies as an excuse to wear it!

A very happy birthday to you, 30R! We love you lots!

You're spot on, Mr. Rodgers, Impossible Iris is on my wishlist! It's fantastic, a happy, sparkly and almost warm iris. Truly something different for us iris lovers, so pleased with this one. You and Whitefluffy smell just divine!
Thank you so much for the well wishes yesterday. I am feeling much better and am in the office today. It definitely feels good to get out of the apartment.

Happy birthday to 30Roses! I hope you stay warm and comfy tonight as that storm hits.

Jon, I'm envious! A month in New Zealand! How fabulous That's definitely something to look forward to.

I am revelling today in the wonderful skank of Une Fleur de Cassie. My decant is nearly drained, so I suspect there's a FB of this one in my near future.

I'm thinking I should start taking a look at the Ramon Monegal line, too....
ExtremeK, do check out Monegal's Cuirelle, a beautiful, honeyed, incense-y suede. It may be right up your alley! That one made my wishlist, too...sigh.
Oh, my! Lots went on here while I was out at BJ's! Many thanks for the good wishes!

Mike and PerfumedLady, you smell wonderful in FdTRB!

I have to head to Mom's now but not for as long as I planned as I have to take my daughter to an appointment after school-- will have to stop back later to check on her. Mom is really muddled and upset this week. We haven't gotten the urine test results back yet but I'm sure it's a UTI. A couple of days ago she suddenly forgot that my father died 3 years ago and has been calling a lot asking where he is, etc., thinking he died last month, thinking a coworker of his kidnapped and murdered him, etc. Weird stuff, but I think it will clear when the antibiotics kick in. I hope so, anyway!!
Thanks for the link, Jon. Foustie's review is very appealing.

I used up the last of my Iris Poudre sample, I have hoarded it for many, many years. My thinking was to use it up because I had a bottle being shipped to me. When I called FedEx & entered the door tag number, they said it had been delivered yesterday. What? Huh? So where is it?
Apparently, it was left at my front door.

Now, I'm scared! They gave me a confirmation # & said the driver would come by within 24 hours & show me where he left it.

I need me something soothing to calm me down: Fleur de The Rose Bulgare (which I bought from 30roses) will do just fine.

This shows exactly what I feel like right now.

And a little bit of this....
Thanks for the well wishes and hugs yesterday! My surgery went fine and my follow-up this morning as well. I'm free to drive and work again.

I'm wearing OJ Woman today.

Happy birthday, 30 Roses!

May I suggest a relaxing glass of vin rouge ?

Well, what a difference a few hours makes! The sun came out and the day became beautiful and I got to play some tennis, tennis that I thought would be cancelled because of the bad weather, so color me happy! Smelly, too - I'm celebrating the sudden sunshine now in one of my favorite blue-sky-and-puffy-white-cloud sorts of fragrances, LancĂ´me Climat.

Well the day is almost over! I found a pair of cozy, short shearling boots at BJ's for only $30...I'd been eyeing Uggs but didn't want to shell out the big bucks so this was perfect.

RHM, any news on the missing bottle? What recourse do you have if it was stolen?
