Kiton Men - thoughts?

I blind bought this after watching Coachrob's review. Initially wasnt impressed, but have given it a few wears and it's definitely a grower. Smells slightly 'detergenty' but that aside it's really quite nice. It's not a frag I've seen much discussion on. Anybody own/like/dislike?

Thanks

I have a sample. It's a decent fragrance but nothing more IMO.

Personally don't care for it at all.

Had this one for about a year. Nice frag. Can be worn year round. Wear this one with a suit and tie.

Yeh, I agree 100% Suit and Tie scent!!

It is a very nice but formal scent. I may have to revisit this in the near future.

kinda casual/green. you don't need a suit and tie. rich but also unimpressive. price does not fit the scent..

It's a solid fragrance and I enjoy the herbal aspects.

Sampled both the original and Kiton Black. Both were just OK for me.

Nothing special on my skin.

Nothing special on my skin also. Actually gave the bottle away.

Lots of violet. Too much for me, so I found it kind of annoying. A bit too sharp, a bit too green. For me.

A very classy green fragrance. The mace makes it interesting.

Classiest scent I own.

There used to be more discussion of this back several years ago. I had a bottle, but sold it as I found it to have similarities to GIT (except more floral) and a couple of others I don't recall. In the end, GIT was something I reached for more often. Likewise, Kiton Napoli in the blue bottle was reminiscent of Allure and Lalique Faune. Kiton Black was the only one I found unique enough to keep, but they're all well done scents.

That's what you thought 8 years a go too, Renato. Pretty cool. I appreciate your consistency.

Thanks, and there is an extra reason for this.
One can be loud and brash, or relatively subtle and effective.
Kiton was my secret weapon - resulting in marital bliss.

This is the epitome, to me, of a fragrance I "kind of like." I could wear it and be happy, but it never ascended the ranks of the bottle-worthy.

I always thought of it as a formal coat-and-tie scent, but I imagine that may be due to associating it with Kiton clothes.
