Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme Batch Code Problem!

Hi there,

so I am selling my DOlce and Gabbana pour homme bottles on ebay. To my understanding they are the vintage formulation, they have the sticker and all that, and most importantly: I have had both bottle in my possession for over ten years(they were gifts form a sister who worked in a perfume shop back in the day. A helpful ebayer told me he checked the batch code on checkcosmetic.net and it comes up as being made in December of 2012?!?

Can anyone explain how this is possible?

I always hear about misinformation from these sites.

Just some words of advice for your auctions, there's a seller that has brand new leftovers of what you are selling for $65.00 shipped.

Thanks for the heads up, although my understanding there are quite a bit of fakes or later formulations all that. If it doesn't sell the first time though, I guess I'll ahve to get comptetitive pricing

The bottle I purchased in 2003 shows a recent production date as well. Checkcosmetic is off for D&G at the very least.

checkcosmetic.net is not 100% accurate. As long as it has a silver sticker label and it's made in Italy, then most likely it's the vintage formulation. Personally, I'd go with a brand new, sealed one; I've seen them occasionally on eBay (you just have to be patient).

Cosmetic Check is sketchy to say the least! I found a third full 100ml bottle of YSL Opium Pour Homme in my house loft recently whilst carrying out some work - it must have been left there by the previous owner. We've been in the house for over 10 years and yet Cosmetic Check said the bottle was from 2008!!

By the way - the juice is perfect (cold & dry conditions!) - Result!!
