Grey Flannel for a super "dry" violet drydown.

Womens, but very wearable for a man, (imo)
Flower ~ Kenzo
Jolie Madame ~ Balmain
Violette Preseuse ~ Caron

Another one for Grey Flannel.

IMO, better than Black Violet is Grey Flannel, which is also my ideal violet (flower + leaves)

L'Artisan Verte Violette

Penhaligon Violetta for a straighforward violette, quite beautiful. And then there's the Lutensian canon with Bois des violettes.

cacio

i also noticed rose was listed as an ingredient on this one...did you smell any rose?

Cuir Pleine Fleur--i just saw a review that said it smells like chowards violet candies mixed in a leather handbag...sounds interesting from the heeley house

I don't smell rose in Penhaligon's Violetta. It has a violet leaf note as well (as the violet flower note) and is more unisex than many other violets.

And I also recommend Grey Flannel.

I like Serge Lutens Bois de Violette. Not quite as much as Tom Ford Black Violet, but very nice.
Another vote for Grey Flannel.

Also, have you tried Tom Ford Noir?

I love that one. I also second the Lalique and suggest Bvlgari Man in addition, which can be found for cheap.

Geo F Trumper's Ajaccio Violets
Knize Two

I detest violet, so when I bought Gucci pour homme ii based on the wildly enthusiastic reviews it receives here (and everywhere) and was hit by a massive wall of violet on first spray...no blind buying for me anymore. In short, these
Gucci PH ii
Narciso Rodriguez for him

Hommage a L'Homme by Lalique has nice and refined violet note

The Unicorn Spell
Maria Candida Gentile Exultat
Putain De Palace
Classic Myrrh by Von Eusersdorff
Invasion Barbare
Eau De Cartier
Roboris by Calè

Try Paul Smith London for Man
I further second Grey Flannel
You should give a try to Dans tes bras by Frederic Malle, it is an amazing scent !
Unicorn Spell
Cuir Amethyst
The canon Cacio mentions
Olympios by Missoni has a very prominent violet accord
post #29 of 31
+1 on Burberry Touch for Men and Trumper's Ajaccio Violet, two nice violet scents that go largely ignored. I'd also add Smell Bent's Violet Tendencies for an edgier, leathery, take on the note. Of course, as others have mentioned, Grey Flannel is pretty much the benchmark for men's fragrances with a violet note and can be had anywhere in the US cheaply.

Apart the classics Grey Flannel, Paul Smith London, Narciso Rodriguez For Him, Green Irish Tweed, YSL Paris, Fahrenheit, Eau de Cartier etc, i love the violet as combined with iris in Le Labo Iris 39, i smell a more or less nice violet implementation in Marte Arte Battistoni, Violet Blond Tom Ford, Black Violet Tom Ford, Lorenzo Villoresi Donna, Blanc Violette Histoires de Parfums, Cuir Pleine Fleur, Bleecker Street Bond n 9, Canali Men, Penhaligon's Violetta, Guerlain Aprees l'ondee, Serge Lutens Bois de Violette, Roboris Cale Fragranze d'Autore, De Profundis Serge Lutens etc etc.
