Any good ones where GALBANUM plays a "supporting role?"

Just got some Galbanum EO and i almost fainted.

So*powerful

I actually tend to NOT like this note when it's really prominent. And I can't really imagine it not being REALLY prominent, because it's so strong.

I have Halston 1-12 (duh) and this is obviously front and center. And I can remember a few other's I've come across. But they all SCREAM Galbanum.

Are there any good examples of Galbanum playing a more, um, subdued role?

In vintage Lauder for Men galbanum eventually fades from the top, but in the current formulation it keeps going until you suffocate.

Wow, thanks for the suggestions guys! When the database comes back up, I'll check all of these out! And then maybe start sniffing around NYC

I've got some Galbanum as well (perfumer's apprentice) and agree it's a pretty strong smell on its own.

I haven't seen it in all the note pyramids out there for Dior Jules but to me it is definitely in there. There's so much going on with Jules, perhaps for you its presence may be a little more subdued. If you can find some, I'd check it out.

What about Marc Jacobs "Bang!" and "Bang Bang" ? They both include galbanum.

I just saw that really cool video (ted-talk kinda thing) where the guy explains (sorta) coming up with that fragrance.

Wish I could find the link…
