Morning (or I should rather say early afternoon) my dears.

Did I tell you that at the beginning of this week, on Monday I got a package from Ramon Monegal? He was so kind to send me samples of all 14 fragrances!

Wearing Ramon Monegal Barcelona Lovely Day today

Morning all!

Amouage memoir woman for me. Definitely full bottle worthy for me.

Good morning,
SotD is Ubar (before the 2011 reformulation) in all its animalic, creamy gorgeousness!
I am so happy with my new bottle (bought from someone, who had sprayed it once).

Found my package!! Yipee! I had a "helpful" neighbor take it in for me. They are elderly, so they forgot to tell me they had it.

Good morning, everyone!

I'm wearing my glorious Parfum Privé ...thinking fondly of my dear friend (((Wolfie))).

Y'all have a great day!

Hooray RHM, and phew! I'm so glad that worked out - what a relief!

Oh, hi Sapfir! I almost missed you - welcome to Basenotes!

Swathed in Claude Montana Parfum d'Homme (vintage French edition) this mild SE Florida morning.

**Best wishes to all those blanketed in snow**

Good afternoon!

RHM, that's great news, you must be grinning from ear to ear!

Cold, grey & sleeting here today. SOTD for a weary & stressful day at work was Eau de Shalimar.

l'll decide on my SOTE when l get my second wind!
Good Afternoon,

Welcome Sapfir ! We're house twins today: I started off in No.5 (soap + 80s EdP). Having had a haircut and showered again, I'll shortly be spritzing some Cuir de Russie for an evening out with friends.
((wolfie))
Best to all.

Hello everyone!

L'Artisan Premier Figuier today.

Have a great one!
Teardrop, I'm sharing the Shalimar with you. I have Shalimar Light on my right and current Shalimar edp on my left. Still trying to dial in on which Shal shall be "moi." I've ruled out vintage extrait and edc. I don't think it'll be Initial. Have to check current edt at the store sometime, but edp is the winningest right now.

30Roses, your photo from last night (below) must scare the dickens out of our warm-climate brethren like MikePerez.

Hi All! Hope everyone is having a great day.

Yikes 30Roses ! That's a lot of white stuff! I'm snowbound today as well... over 2 feet of snow in my corner of the world, and it's still coming down. As a beckoning to Spring, I'm wearing Crabtree and Evelyn's Iris dusting powder under a few good spritzes of Chanel's 28 La Pausa. Sheer heaven.

Welcome to Basenotes Sapfir!!!

What snow???

Smooth Sandalwood by The Gap (from a sample)

Ladies, this is good stuff. I stopped liking anything scent-related from The Gap a long time ago, but this one is a straight-forward, creamy smooth sandalwood and much smoother (as the title implies) than your standard Casswell-Massey/Crabtree & Evelyn stuff on shelves now. It's discontinued, I believe, my I see some on eBay for sale. Thank you jujy54 for introducing me to this one!
Q, have you tried the vintage EDT? It's pretty not bad! I swapped my modern EDP for mine, as l found the bergamot overload a bit too much for me.

SOTE will be Ginger by Gorilla Perfumes, to keep me warm for going out on this cold night.
We are getting ready to go out there and try to clear it. I'm sure it's over the height of the snowblower so it will mean lots of shoveling too, and multiple passes. We'll have to duct tape our boots to our pants to keep the snow out.

Annick Goutal Nuit Étoilée.

I wish everyone the best with the blizzard in the Northeastern US.
Hello everyone! It's actually a nice day here, 25F, but we're expecting another storm starting tomorrow.

30 Roses, Happy (late) Birthday I hope you had a lovely day. I sure sympathize with you regarding all the snow you've gotten, I know how much work it is to clear everything. Take care and don't try to do it all at once.

Lucas, enjoy the Ramon Monegal samples!!! I've only tried a couple of theirs, Lovely Day didn't work at all for me.

RHM so glad you finally found your package, what a relief.

Twolf, so sorry things are hard for you again, wish so much that it wasn't. Please take care of yourself!!!!

SotD is Serge Lutens A La Nuit.

I hope you'll all enjoy Schilling as much as I have been, gang! Watch out for her, she is one funny lady!

Glad to see some of our New Englanders checking in, snowed under but safe and sound. Very sorry for those who have no power.

Yay, good news, RHM! That was indeed "helpful"!

(((Twolf)))

Am celebrating 8 years of marriage with Mr.PL today. Think we may just stay in with the roaring woodstove and be lazy. Feel like I might be coming down with something. In warm and cozy Coromandel today. Hugs to all!

OMG, so much snow. Wow.

Afternoon, everyone. Sending warm thoughts to everyone caught in the blizzard (also energizing ones for those who have to shovel all that snow...gah!!) SOTA is Opus III, it smells so lovely (and the weather in Nashville is sunny and nice, so the scent fits with early spring).
Wearing Guerlain's Eau de Coq. Think I may have to change to something spicier as sun goes down here in NYC.
I'm about to quit for the day. I'm beat!

The snowblower's wheels came off the axle and went flat-- it could not handle the depth of snow in the driveway at all. (It's 29" deep and would have been deeper but I shoveled 4" yesterday.) We managed to use it to throw the snow by shoveling the snow into it and advancing very slowly, but it ran out of gas-- and it turns out my dear husband had not bought extra gasoline, not quite believing the forecast. He is out there now trying to siphon gasoline out of our car gas tank (and not succeeding.)

Meanwhile we have been breaking our backs shoveling. And the snow at the sides of the driveway where we have shoveled is so high there is almost nowhere to put it any more.

The street has not been plowed. When the plow comes by, we will have several more feet. Well, maybe not several feet, but it will be heavy and icy and hard to clear.

Thank God we have power! It's supposed to drop to -8º F tonight. There are towns without power.

I doubt there will be school this upcoming week. I suspect the school district will just move the winter vacation up.

We'll carry on tomorrow. I figure we are about 1/4 done.

Happy Anniversary to PerfumedLady and the Mr.!

RHM, so glad you got your perfume from the "helpful" but forgetful elderly neighbor!!

I managed to get about 2 hours sleep before aches and pains woke me up. Ibuprofen, a snack and some tea, and soon I'll try hitting the sack again.

The plow finally went by a half hour ago, so I expect there is more mess than ever to shovel, but I'm going to see if my daughter's school friend who lives around the corner wants to earn a bit of money shoveling with us! We've hired him before to help with yard jobs that required a bit of muscle.
