Issey Miyake L'eau Dissey Pour Homme Gold/Noir Absolu Prices

Hi,

I'm a huge fan of the Issey Miyake L'eau Dissey, it suits me down to the ground in summer, but isn't really suited to these cold months.

I've only just seen the Gold/Noir Absolu limited editions, which are regarded as more wintery versions, and have been looking around on eBay for them.

Most of the gold ones are about $50/£32 for 100ml which seems a bit cheap, considering I usually get the original back home at Heathrow Airport for about £43/$68 for 100ml. The thing is, all the eBay stores selling them seem to be top sellers with thousands of positive feedback, so I don't think they're fakes. Is there any reason as to why the Gold Absolu is cheaper than the original?

Then there's the Absolu Noir which is $115/£73-$140/£88 for 100ml. Does anyone know why there is such a difference in price between the two limited edition fragrances?

Thanks

Sometimes pricing simply isn't logical. Hard to understand why some releases are going for radically different prices.

I have both. The black noir bottle only smells a little more darker, thats the only difference if any much at all. You can get the gold noir bottle from the harrods website too.

How do you like the Gold Absolu? By the reviews I've read, it sounds as if it's a less citrus, more creamy fragrance?

I like it, but probably not as much as the black noir bottle. It's definitely more creamy and has more amber in it, also less citrus as you said. But it still has plenty of throwbacks to the original.

Supply and demand!

The black noir bottle is the hardest to find now. Found it months ago for a good price on ebay, and never even bought it . The gold bottle is more easily found though, but not everywhere.

I ended up blind buying this.

I really, really like it now. At first I was a bit unsure but it works really well with my skin, much better than the original anyway.
