Everyday fragrance for young man

Hello!

Im new here, i came here to ask for advice. I hope you will find my question atleast a little interesting. I would just be grateful for any advice.

I recently stopped using AXE deodorants and got a neutral deodorant. I want to start wearing something nicer and more mature. Im a 22 year old man studying at university. My personality is more quiet than loud, but i'm passionate with things close to my heart. I'd like to wear a fragrance that doesn't stand out too much but expresses passion and security for people who come close. I'm a fairly simple man and i would really like a fragrance that i can use all day everyday. What advice do you have for me?

Perhaps Bleu de Chanel might work for you.

Not sure anything could express passion and warmth better than Guerlain Habit Rouge.

Thanks! I honestly dont know much about fragrances, but i would think that it having vanilla makes it more warm and cozy?

What are the main differences between Bleu de Chanel and Guerlain Habit Rouge?

Yes, something from Guerlain would be a great choice - I personally recommend Heritage. You will find it contains tonka bean and vanilla as well as lavender and pink pepper. A very comforting scent. Please do try it.

I honestly dont know in which direction to go. I'll just try every one you suggest and maybe bring a lady friend to decide.

My only concern is that it is not too "loud", i actually only want people who come close to notice it.

Welcome!

Which type of store do you plan to go to? You should probably avoid marine scents, which can be very strong and sharply clean (eg Light blue, Aqua di gio, etc) or supergourmands (like A*Men), which can project a lot. Some of the classic fougeres (Azzaro pour homme, Drakkar Noir, Paco Rabanne) can work, but perhaps they'd be a touch too traditional/masculine for your requirements. Something slightly woody and warm, with some vanilla but not too sweet, seems like a good idea - hence Habit Rouge. Or Chanel Egoiste, which is warm and sandalwoody (note, the regular Egoiste, not Platinum Egoiste). Another scent that seems appropriate is Caron pour un homme, lavender vanilla, classic, solid, not too sweet - not too easy to find, but cheap when found.

For classy and sophisticated:
- Guerlain Habit Rouge EDP (another vote!).
- Cartier Déclaration d'Un Soir.
- Terre d'Hermes.
- Van Cleef & Arpels Midnight In Paris.
- Fan di Fendi PH.
- ...
Enjoy sampling!

Another for Terre D'Hermes. Although, it isn't very "warm"

Try a bvlgari pour homme or the intense version, also try dior homme intense, habit rogue as mentioned above was a good recommendation, also jicky and ysl la nuit, Burberry London would be a good competitor as well, alot more out there

Bulgari PH Soir. But always try before you buy if possible. Welcome!

I think Boss Bottled is a great scent for someone your age - fresh, clean and reasonably priced. Only prob is that it might be too common with those around you (if that's something you want to avoid).

Some good suggestions above, but given you want something for 'everyday' use that doesn't stand out too much, I'll recommend:

-Hermes Eau d'Orange Verte (my personal preference is for the 'cologne' but you'll get better performance from the 'concentrate').
-Kenzo Pour Homme.
-Comme des Garcons Vettiveru.
-Monsieur de Givenchy.
-Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge.
-Acqua di Parma Colonia.

If you really want to stay discrete, then D R Harris might be the way to go.

Yeah, but taking into account the young age and for everyday use I would suggest the EdP version.

Kenzo power might be worth a try.

And please try gucci pour homme 2!!!

And Cartier Declaration (the original).

And l'heure bleue EdT
