Not sure how selecting individual aroma molecules will help - any good or grt perfumes go thru a lot of process - starting from the essential oil in almost 95% of the cases, which is not what you are starting with...
I am a chemical engr and having played with almost all the one's u listed, I can tell u this much - if u r trying to make the next best perfume with laboratory chemicals (or even a very simple smell creating adventure), i am not sure it'll turn out as u expect...It'll be too synthetic - you have tons of such already available in flea markets (a few from good perfume houses as well).

Thank you for your replies.
Badarun, I've done a lot of reading and I also play around with a kit that I got from Save On Scents.
I'm not feeling the SOS thing and find that many of the fragrances are way off. Tough to create anything remotely similar to what it should be IMO.

But I've also read that many of the best scents in the world come from synthetics???
How does one create perfumes from anything else that may be one company's interpretation of their products?

Ok, I guess, the more I study, the more I'm lost, lol. But I'll get there.

What do YOU recommend for a startup? I'm not looking to create a new Chanel #5 I'm more into wanting to create smells that I want to smell...life's experiences smells.

Regards,
Numberz
