(nice kitten!)

Good afternoon, patchouli smelling, here, I've tested a few: Nightscape by Ulrich Lang, L'incroyable Patchouli by Réminescence and Mazzolari Patchouli... Now I must find out and thank the kind BN lady who suggested Mazzolari to me, a few months ago, 'cause I think I'm falling in love....

Good morning, everyone -

And good morning to you, Larimar ...lol! Now that's a grumpy puss!

I'm in a Valentine gift from the hubs, Prada's gorgeous Infusion d'Iris Absolue ...he chose well.

Y'all have a great day!

Kiliwia is back to my favorite plumerias, very eye-pleasing and smelling of a tropical vacation too. I think I would look for some tropical scents to sniff for this coming summer.
Iodine, I think the person you are looking for is ExtremeK, she is very keen on the house of Mazzolari in general and was wearing them day in and day out all autumn long.

Yesterday was an excellent day here, placed an order for teas with Amazon -- it is becoming a wonderful Valentine's Day tradition and the teas last me the whole year. Beats soda any time too!

Today's sync is the house of Guerlain. While I am partial to their time-proven classics -- booooo and harhar dee harhar, right? -- like Shalimar and Jicky and many many more -- I DO enjoy me a benchmark specimen every once in a while. Fleur de Feu, of which I think there is only two or three bottles left in the whole world.

Have a nice day, bunch. And extra hugs to those who would not push them away.

Please accept my tardy valentine. Work got in the way on the 14th.
Shalimar ... from my yesterday-arrived auction bottle. It's edt, so don't know how much throw I'm going to get from it. I'm only 15 minutes in. Will certainly say more in days to come.
Of course it's a Guerlain Sync and I didn't even check so I'm in a non-Guerlain scent. Duh.

Chaos by Donna Karan

Aptly named, for how I feel today.

Good morning to this fine smelling group!

I'm in my decant of Lyric which arrived yesterday. Wow, is this a girlie perfume. So different from a lot of what I've been wearing lately. It's grown up, and unabashedly feminine. On me, it comes off as the perfect perfume to wear with a sleek black dress and pearls, hair up, at the symphony, with an amazing pair of black pumps. I love it, but I don't expect it will get every day wear. I'll probably save it for those special occasions.

You smell great Teardrop!

SOTD/SOTE is Gardénia Pétale. I find myself wearing this quite a bit - it is such a lovely gardenia.

I'll mind the dress code next time.
Do save some of your Lyric for a summer night out. I have had absolutely amazing wearings with this. It works so nicely with warm nights spent outside.

A big hug for ((Mike)) today!

We have a sunny day here and the snow continues to recede in the 40s temperatures.

SotD has not been chosen yet...maybe later.

Edit: Fresh Mint Leaf by Jo Malone.

Hello, all my cuties
Larimar, you will look fabulous in the Lyric attire And the cat is all ears!
Mike, do feel better. Things settle, it is just the getting there. Hug for you today.
Twolf, you are being a good sport today on Guerlain synch

I totally bailed on the synch, almost wore SDV from a sample, but chose to stay with my favorite house - Chanel Coromandel for me today. Possibly applied a little too much for work, but they will just have to deal

And, FINALLY, TGIF!!! Wine oclock starts at 6 tonight, unsure of the flavor since it will not be my choice. It is all good though!

I admit, I laughed out loud when I read this. The ever-observant Twolf is right -- I gave the recommendation, and I in fact spent most of the autumn in either Mazzolari Patchouly or Mazzolari Lei. I do love them both One of these days, I will cease being surprised at Twolf's wonderful memory. I'm trying to figure out what to try next from that house. I suspect I'd enjoy Lui, but I would like to try one of their feminines as well.

Well done on the tea order, Twolf! Do you have a favorite or two?

I believe I am going to lemming today and spritz myself with Mazzolari Patchouly -- partial scent twins with iodine.

Mike, as you know, the wonderful thing about Chaos is that the fragrance completely belies the name. I don't find it chaotic at all. That lovely saffron note, the incense, and then that touch of musk in the base is straightforwardly heavenly. So I hope that your day matches the fragrance itself and not its name. ((((Mike)))) Thank you for the ee cummings treat last night. It's a lovely, delicate piece.

LOL Larimar, you made me smile! No dress code, you can wear whatever you like with Lyric, but I do agree, a little black dress looks great on every woman! I will take your suggestion and try it on a warm summer evening, maybe it would be perfect for watching fireworks too!!
It's Wine O'Clock and I'm beginning to feel like the odd one out here . Larimar impersonating Dita Von Teese, G sporting his bloomers - maybe I should raid Jenny's wardrobe and dress appropriately before I uncork

Still in synch this evening with Vol De Nuit.

For those in need ....

I can just feel the sense of relief and relaxation in that. ^^^ That must have come straight from the heart!

I'm twins with Quarry today, as I did actually wind up in Shalimar edc, and it is so good I wonder why I don't wear it more often. I prefer this to any modern formulation. And now I want some vintage Shalimar parfum, too (I feel "the wants" coming over me). My bottle is not old, but it must not be too new because it smells too good! I'm wearing it after having a shower with iris scented soap, and the two go together very well. The bandaid/medicinal quality in this classic Shalimar edc isn't as pronounced to my nose. And no baby oil either.

Plaisir; thanks, you smell lovely too!

SOTE is Stoned by Solange.

For Guerlain synch day, I thought it might be the perfect time to break out a sample I've had for a while: Moscow from the Les Voyages Olfactifs. First impression is that it is too candied-fruity-floral for me, although it did settle into a pretty drydown. It's just ok ... The list of notes is from our BN directory, but I swear I don't sniff a hint of pine needles OR absinthe!

notes: pine needles, absinthe, plum, redcurrant, bergamot, lemon, jasmine, tonka bean, sandalwood, vanilla, white musk

Hugs to all and happy Friday, everyone! Enjoy your adult beverages ... I'm on call all weekend and can not imbibe.

No Guerlain today, Amber Oud, Kilian from a sample. Lasts on long time on my skin.
